Situation: Chaeyoung and Nayeon were originally together while Dahyun was talking to Sana, so Dahyun joined the pair as the third party. In the second picture, you can see that Nayeon is still talking to Dahyun.
About the gif with Nayeon only linking arms with Chaeyoung, she has a habit in general of linking arms with whoever's to the right of her, like with Mina in the second picture.
