She doesn't have her own stores other than pop up stores but I wouldn't call it a failure. One thing's for sure though, it's that she's greedy. Two days after leaving SNSD, she attended her own brand's schedule... which looked calculated to me. She also goes around airports smiling and waving to her fans when she used to be the 'ice princess' before. Her business now is also your typical M&A style so I'm sure she'll get rid of it once she's bored with following her boyfriend around for it.
