[Pann] The double standards between male and female idol groups
Pann: The pains of being a girl group fan
1. Members who can pull off their parts just fine get hated on for being bad at singing but when a male idol is actually bad at rapping or singing, their fans always argue, "Do you think he would've debuted if he wasn't talented~? He has a good vocal color ㅋㅋ and he's cute even if he's bad ㅎㅎ"
2. People go overboard with the hate when a female idol says something dumb or thoughtless on TV... but if a male idol makes a mistake, fans brush it off.. "cute ㅋㅋ!"
3. If a female idol gets caught swearing, people hate on her by judging her entire character, but if a male idol swears, fans say, "So, don't you all swear too? A public figure can't swear? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ"
4. Members who aren't that pretty or have gained weight get called all sorts of ugly swears and "how did she debut?" but if a male idol is ugly... "he's adorable"
5. If a female idol smiles at or talks to a male idol, she gets called a "sly fox b*tch!"
6. In a dating scandal, it's 90% the female idol's fault because she must've hit on him.
7. If a female idol gets caught plagiarizing outfits, they get called 'plagiarism-dols' and get all their accomplishments accused of plagiarism but if a male idol does the same, "their coordi's the anti, what's wrong with their coordi?"
8. If a female idol gets caught in a club or bar in past photos, she gets exiled from the industry... but if it's a male idol, fans give him the benefit of the doubt "I'm sure he's matured now, I still believe in you!"
9. If a female idol acts lazy or tired on TV, people say "she's always like that", but if a male idol does, it's because "his condition isn't that good today ㅎ"
10. If a female idol makes a mistake, she has to issue several public and personal apologizes and still get hate even after the victim even says it's okay but if a male idol does it, fans write it off saying "he already apologized ㅋㅋ"

2. [+80, -1] I'm a fan of both male and female groups now but I got into female groups a bit late. When I first got into female groups, I was so shocked by the double standards. When a male idol causes a scandal, fans are like "don't do that next time", "he's not someone who would do something like this".. but if a female idol does it, people are like "I knew she'd screw up one day", "leave the industry... and when a male idol gets into acting, "I'll look forward to it!", "Ah!! I'm so happy!!! even his character is adorable"... but when a female idol gets into acting, "please use some real actors". So sad how females get treated on different levels.
