A 30 year old man lied about being a Seoul University med school graduate to get married to his wife. The mother thought something was suspicious and asked him to prove it. He bought fake papers online for ~$300 USD but the mother was able to find that those were forged as well. Faking your academical background is grounds for divorce, and fake papers for all sorts of credentials are being sold online for $300-700.

1. [+3,986, -86] The mother must've caught that something was fishy... I'm glad they caught him early while they could.. ㅠ

2. [+3,305, -77] ㅋㅋㅋㅋ The mother has a good eye

3. [+2,887, -85] Amazed that the mother-in-law even recognized something was off~

4. [+1,756, -86] Maybe the woman's family is wealthier so the man tried to latch on to that by getting married to her with a fake education. The mother-in-law definitely doesn't seem like someone to mess with...

5. [+2,523, -1,328] The man's pathetic but I think the woman's also at fault for just relying on the fact that he's a Seoul Uni med school student and not bothering to see anything more

6. [+464, -16] If they got married, that means the man's family had to play along with it too... is the entire family full of conmen... kudos to the mother-in-law for realizing what was going on

7. [+450, -18] I think it would've been really obvious... it's not easy for a non-doctor to go around acting like one. Med terms aren't something you memorize overnight ㅋㅋ

8. [+423, -19] Can't believe you'd even lie about something that could be found out so easily
