Instiz: The reason SISTAR's 'Harley Quinn' concept is problematic

"As you all know, SISTAR's recent concept is characters from the DC comics. Their concept images clearly reflect this but they don't seem to realize that each of the characters are copyrighted, the most controversial character of all being Harley Quinn.

It's hard to judge from the teaser alone but many are saying that the pictures remind them of the Harley Quinn concept. If their motif was taken from the original Harley Quinn, it would not be problematic, but Bora's Harley Quinn concept was clearly taken from Suicide Squad's Harley Quinn, which would be the fourth version of the character (Before reboot, after, Arkham in game, and finally the Suicide Squad).

Suicide Squad's version of Harley Quinn recently got popular among netizens and I think that's what influenced the SISTAR concept. The problem lies with the fact that they did not get permission to use the character concept."
