1. [+255, -8] Investigate and punish the parents too!

2. [+235, -9] Nowadays, the younger teachers will reject such bribe gifts but the older generation of teachers are so used to it that they accept them. And if you don't bribe them, they start showing bias with the kids. Even if they don't take money, they'll still take make up and other things.

3. [+185, -11] I heard that bribes are more common in elementary school than junior and high school

4. [+18, -4] Embarrassing as a fellow teacher myself... schools these days don't even allow parents to buy them soft drinks, what's wrong with them..

5. [+18, -5] The parents are the problem too, they should go down with the teachers

6. [+17, -0] They show bias to the kids they received bribes from... upsetting that teachers who should be prioritizing teaching our kids in upright ways are acting like this.

7. [+14, -4] I once went to my co-worker's parent teacher conference for her junior high school daughter and her homeroom teacher gave me her business card and it not only had her cellphone number on it but her bank account info and home address... I asked the other mothers if they received this too and they did. The mothers all started talking about all chipping in together to get her something cheap until one mother went out and got her expensive wine among other gifts... In the end, that mother's kid got recommended for all sorts of competitions and the teacher supported him in so many events. Then all the other mothers started sending the teacher their own gifts... sigh.

8. [+12, -2] I'm 27 years old and whenever I see dramas show teachers accepting bribes, I didn't think that happened in real life until I heard in my little mother's club that they all send their own kids' teachers gift certificates and such. Surprised that teachers are like that...

9. [+11, -3] I know this one elementary school teacher who told her students' parents that she was short on moving expenses and the parents were like, "Huh?" until she repeated herself saying, "I'm short on moving expenses... You still don't get it?"... Nowadays teachers will even order their classes to bully kids if they don't get bribes. It's scary to think of these situations.
