[Pann] Movie 'Han Gong Ju' scandal based off of a true story

Pann: Han Gong Ju, the gang rape scandal of a Milyang junior high school student

The Pann goes into detail about the movie 'Han Gong Ju' which is based on a true story of a female student who was gang raped by 44 different high school boys over the course of a year. The lead actress Chun Woo Hee won the 'Best Actress' award at this year's Blue Dragon Film Awards.

The gang rape scandal of a Milyang junior high school student

From gang rape to threats using recorded footage of the rape. Sexual torture using sex toys. Even forced her to bring in her dongseng and older cousin to assault and rape. Police refused to believe her, asking if she did not seduce them first.

June of 2003, Choi (14 years old at the time) began chatting with Park (17 years old) on the internet. After frequent contact, Park asked to meet her on January of 2004 and called her out to meet him in Milyang, his hometown.

After meeting her in Milyang, he hit her with a metal pipe until she fainted and called his friends over so they could move her to a local inn. The 12 of them then gang raped her while she was unconscious.

Park recorded the entire gang rape on his camcorder and cellphone and threatened Choi to spread it on the internet if she didn't listen to them.

Scared by his threats, Choi was not able to tell the police or her parents that she was being raped. Park took this as an opportunity to continue the assaults and rape.

Park and his friends always hung out in groups of 7-10 people and called Choi out to wherever they were like at playgrounds, inns, or tennis courts to rape her. They even sexually tortured her using toys.

The group then took their crimes further by forcing Choi to call her dongseng (12 years old) and her older cousin (15 years old) out to Milyang to steal their money and rape them as well.

Choi had nowhere to turn to for help. Her parents had divorced and she was living with her father who was an alcohol addict and habitually beat her. Choi eventually turned to suicide to end her misery.

She took 20 sleeping pills but failed and was taken to the emergency room. She began receiving treatment after waking up in two days.

She began suffering from severe depression and mental instability and continued multiple suicide attempts. Choi's aunt eventually caught on to something being very wrong and persuaded her to open up to her about everything.

Upon finding the truth, she told Choi's mother and her mother reported everything to the police. After a year, the scandal was finally brought to light.

Unfortunately, more problems came up once investigations began. Despite the mother asking for her daughter's identity to be protected, police ignored the requests and released full information on Choi's identity to the media.

The mother had also requested that Choi be investigated by a female police but the police did not comply. Choi had to recount all of the embarrassing torture she had suffered to a male police.

Furthermore, the male police investigating Choi had told her:

"Are you sure you didn't seduce them first?"
"You realize you ruined Milyang, right?"

And because Choi's identity was not properly protected, mothers of the assailants found Choi and swore at her face unspeakable things.

During this entire ordeal, Choi's father, who had previously ignored his family completely, made a sudden appearance, worsening the situation even father. As his right as her 'father', he reached a monetary settlement as compensation with the assailants.

Choi had no idea of the settlement and was forced to sign off on a compensation of 50 million won. That 50 million won was in exchange for a year of gang rape by 44 different men.

Out of the 44 students involved:

10 were indicted (7 imprisoned, 3 without detention)
20 were transferred to juvenile detention halls
14 were let off on settlement

Everyone was let off without it going on their criminal record. As of today, they are either currently in college or living normal lives in society.

Choi's father wasted the 50 million won and eventually died from alcohol addiction. Choi moved to the outskirts of Ulsan with her mother but because of the parents of the assailants visiting her high school with all sorts of threats, Choi was unable to complete her high school education.

10 years later, she's currently going from one day labor job to the next to make a living.

1. [+1,904, -3] The identities of the assailants need to be released. Please consider this issue as something that happened to your own daughter and release the identities.

2. [+1,453, -1] Why? Why did it not go on their criminal records? Why?

3. [+1,332, -2] Wake up, Korea

4. [+358, -2] It should also be remembered that there was a policewoman named Hwang Sun Mi who supported the gang rape and not only is she a policewoman today but is even advancing up the ladder ㅋㅋ

5. [+285, -0] There was a person who supported the assailants and she is a policewoman today and still friends with the assailants. A ridiculous world we live in.

6. [+204, -0] (Netizen found the Facebook of one of the assailants)

7. [+203, -1] It was actually found that there were 110 assailants. Only three were dealt punishment because they discovered too much semen in her body that it was impossible to identify who was involved. And the 50 million won was split among her father and their relatives who fought over the money.

8. [+164, -0] The assailants are currently in college, doing fine in life.. and a woman who even supported them is a policewoman today... Korea amazes me

9. [+152, -0] (Another Facebook picture of assailant found) This guy is not only married but has a kid now

10. [+117, -0] These idiots should all die (picture of the assailants hiding from the media on police floor)

    OMG wtf why?

  6. I am so disgusted that I have no words. It's probably useless to wish justice be brought on her rapists and even her rapists' parents who had the nerve to swear at her. I truly hope she has found help and peace wherever she is now.

    ReplyDelete
  7. This has got me very emotional...frustration, rage, sadness. This poor woman.

    ReplyDelete
  8. What the actual FUCK is wrong with people?!? Why do such a horrible thing to somebody. A girl's future has been destroyed whilst they are living their lives and it doesn't help with the fact that the police are so useless. IF A RAPE IS REPORTED , TAKE IT SERIOUSLY AND DO AS ASKED!!! I'm at a loss for words.

    ReplyDelete
  9. this is so disgusting. and black mailers get 3 years while close to ALL of these rapists didn't get get a criminal record?! where is justice in Korea?

    ReplyDelete
  10. I hope netizens find their identities and make their lives miserable.

    ReplyDelete
  11. How strong must she be to live after this? I would have killed myself to be honest. I watch a lot of horror movies but this has to be the second most terrific story I have read in my life (right after Junko Furuta's story)

    Korea have a shitty law!

    ReplyDelete
  19. This is really disgusting. These boys deserve to rot in jail, the police man deserve to be fired from his position for blaming the victims for her rape. The justice system in Korea really needs help. I can't believe that girls who blackmailed a guy ( who is wrong too) is getting 3 years in jail and these horrible gets let off without it going on their criminal record. Women really need protection in Korea because men are obviously favored over women.

    ReplyDelete
  20. fucking sexually pressed men of a male dominated society asking a 14 year old if she seduced the rapists.

    ReplyDelete
  21. What about her two cousins? They got raped too. How are they doing now? Do they hate her for taking them to danger? The rapists need to be punished and all the girls they raped need help and support.

  22. Its times like this i wish korea had its own kind of tumblr sjw who get big notes on posts like this that expose the POS fucks like this and get them fired, get them on the news with their identities shown, and get the victim a new job, a home, donations to help her live a better life....

    ReplyDelete
  34. Throw in the policeman too.
Wtf is this bs asking her if she seducing him and ruining his life?

    ReplyDelete
  35. I read this story some time ago, didnt know the made a movie of it
words cant describe what I felt reading this...

    ReplyDelete
  36. this is really heartbreaking.

    ReplyDelete
  37. maybe bcs 44 guys that RAPED someone are free while someone that blackmailed a cheater will possible get 3 years.

its not fair to compare bcs 1 is a minor crime while 1 deserves DEATH sentence

    THIS sfm

    ReplyDelete
  39. The sad truth is that death pebalty is "too inhumane" for them because two wrongs(?) Apparently wont make a right. Because to some people for some reason stripping someone of their rights and robbing them of their life is totally not any means reason to do the same to them...

    ReplyDelete
  40. They should cut off their penises !!

    ReplyDelete
  41. sadly, this happens in a lot of countries. I think it's forbidden to ask this to rape victims in France now, thankfully

    ReplyDelete
  42. Netizen #3's statement is the most powerful. So little says so much. Wake up Korea.

    ReplyDelete
  43. This really shows the type of justice system Korea has. I was appalled before, but not I'm completely floored. Not only did most of those guys get a slap on the wrist but some walked away free. That's just ridiculous on so many levels. Korea really need to reevaluate their justice system. I would never ever, want to live in a country that allows multiple rapists run free. That's disgusting, and utterly ridiculous to the point of insanity

    ReplyDelete
  44. But to this extent though? Korea has got to rank in the bottom rung if you could rank shit like this.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I don't think I can bear to watch this

    ReplyDelete
  46. It was Da Hee. Do Hee is from Tiny-G.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I always say that life emprisonment should be immediate for pedophile and child killers.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Thank god..i hope that question becomes unacceptable everywhere ASAP

    ReplyDelete
  49. Omg...that poor woman, not only did she endure such a horrible ordeal but the justice system failed her so spectacularly & continues to do so to this day. Absolutely vile, everyone involved from the rapists to the police to her father to the rapists' mothers are all so disgusting.

I can only wonder how she feels about this movie, is she okay with her story being told like that, especially if it a) brings out her identity again & brings her unwanted attention & b) gets portrayed in an unnecessary way (rape/torture porn) especially since it's highly unlikely she's going to say any of the $ this rakes in.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Where can i watch or download the rape footage?

    ReplyDelete
  51. 9. [+152, -0] (Another Facebook picture of assailant found) This guy is not only married but has a kid now

Did she know before getting maried if so says something about her aswell

    ReplyDelete
  52. are you kidding me.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Those boys and police officers better burn in Hell.

    ReplyDelete
  54. How can they even dramatize such a thing like this? I can't even watch SVU without wanting to stick forks in the assholes playing the villains but this? This is straight up horror. And the girl is still alive and has still had no justice. I can't imagine being that strong.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I actually feel like throwing up. Oh my goodness you poor woman, you have great strength to be trying to live a normal life after all you have been through...

    ReplyDelete
  58. Why was her identity released to the media but the rapers protected??? How is anything in this articlw fair???

  59. 6. [+204, -0] (Netizen found the Facebook of one of the assailants)

    leak it...destroy that assholes life

    ReplyDelete
  60. Now this gets me angry

    ReplyDelete
  61. when you word it like that it has the opposite effect. like blackmailers shouldnt get punishment either. their punishment is fair. these guys not getting any time is wrong. these 2 cases are not even comparable at all.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Not only Korea has this problem with rapists. Even in my home country (Austria) a fucking rapist will get a maximum of 2 years ... but most of the time they will get a punishment of 6 months where they will only get locked up at their own house.... which is fucking ridiculous ...

    ReplyDelete
  63. Wait...they revealed the girl's identity but they are protecting those trash ? I'm speechless. . . Really

And let's not get started with the thing they call police...no wonder nobody wants to report about their rape/assault or anything. They won't take you seriously and worst. ..they'll even protect your assailant.

    ReplyDelete
  64. knetizens investigate and find (irrelevant) celebrity "scandal" things on internet, can they find the identities of those men?

    ReplyDelete
  65. its not fair t get 3 years for blackmail and 0 for rape

    ReplyDelete
  66. No...just castrate them and let them rot in prison. Death penalty is waaaay too kind for them. :o

    ReplyDelete
  67. i never wanted anyone to die as much as i want these assailants to... hell is waiting for them

    ReplyDelete
  68. She must have some great willpower anyone else would have commited suicide

    ReplyDelete
  69. no offense, but there's a time and place for gifs...because they tend to lessen the severity of the situation.

    ReplyDelete
  70. You don't deserve to live the minute you rape someone. Rape is ultimately violence used as a power play and the fact that courts around the world think it's less deserving of punishment than any other crime...the fuck.

I would have paid off hitmen to end them all. They get to live their lives while she's probably beyond traumatized but still trying to live. THE FUCK. I'M SO ANGRY JUST THINKING ABOUT IT.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Even though the whole thing is disgusting, I just can't believe what the policeman said to her. Like, are you for real ?
Gosh', I can't believe her rapists are having happy lives while she has to struggle to even live. And the mothers of rapists don't have any shame ? It's their own son's faults and yet, they are harassing the poor girl ?
All of them are terrible human beings. What's wrong with you, Korea ?

    ReplyDelete
  72. god its like talking to a wall.

    ReplyDelete
  73. iam starting to hate kore and korean men and the way they treat women

    ReplyDelete
  74. that kind of bullshit happens everywhere unfortunately, not just sk.

hell, even cnn did the 'their lives are ruined' angle when reporting about a group of rapists high school football players, & that case included tweets & video footage of them bragging & joking about what they did

    ReplyDelete
  75. Just flag it. This person is a known troll.

    ReplyDelete
  76. It's horrible, I can't believe they just let them go like that, these guys are one of the most disgusting human beings in the world, and they even had a WOMAN to support them, what kind of woman is that, I can't even... I am too upset now...

all of them should die. i don't even care. this makes me so mad, that poor girl had to suffer through so much and her attackers are living life like nothing happened. i hope all of their identities are revealed and that they have to live life in misery

    ReplyDelete
  78. I need some good fap material

    ReplyDelete
  79. Their penises should be cut but you know, stretch it out a year or two. Prolong the pain as long as possible.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Society failed her. The justice system failed her. And it's still failing her considering a movie was made off of her life & she still needs to work day-to-day jobs.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Yeahhhhh....not in this case. These fuckers deserve to die painfully. The death penalty is too kind.

    ReplyDelete
  82. what the fuck. this poor child.

    ReplyDelete
  83. They won't make the movie if she doesn't approve

    ReplyDelete
  84. nah it's like that everywhere sadly

    ReplyDelete
  85. "Are you sure you didn't seduce them first?"

always trying to find a way to make it seem like the woman was asking for it. Disgusting. The men who raped her should all be in jail now.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Koreans are the new Blacks

    ReplyDelete
  87. Rape should be immediately punishable by death by a shooting squad. Bastards. For her sake, I hope they all die a terrible death if the netizens don't get to them first. EXPOSE THESE FUCKERS

    ReplyDelete
  88. claps claps...very true...how could they treated a victim like that? I'm so sorry...is that how woman treated in Korea?...I mean a lot of domestic abuse keep silent...but this is a rape case...speechless :(

    ReplyDelete
  89. kinda gross that you're putting a numerical ranking on other ppls' suffering

    ReplyDelete
  90. I am scared for my future daughters :(

    ReplyDelete
  91. I agree with you. I also hope she gets some of the money from this film. As the article said she is going from job to job just to make a living.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Is it just me or the lady on the poster looks sort of like After School's Jooyeon?

    ReplyDelete
  93. The way her case was handled is exactly why rape is under reported. I hope this movie sparks a change in their country and how they choose to handle these cases. When she thought she was getting justice, the system failed her. She will never live a normal life. I cried reading this, my heart hurts for her.

    ReplyDelete
  94. it would be really nice if she got a good amount of money that was made off of this film.

    ReplyDelete
  95. OMG where is the humanity in this? This fuckers need to die. If I was the kid of that assailants, I would be very very ashamed of my dad.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Thank god I'm American, Korea fucking sucks

    ReplyDelete
  97. If they did get in contact with her, which they probably did since people know of her whereabouts, then more than likely she gave her consent.

    ReplyDelete
  98. stuff like this gets made all the time without the consent of the ppl who's stories they are telling

    ReplyDelete
  99. ...............how could they how dare they ruin someone's life like this how dare they

    ReplyDelete
  100. This movie is based off of Miryang gang rape incident from 2004. More info on that:

41 male high school students kidnapped and raped three middle-school and two high-school girls from Ulsan. A police officer was alleged to have told the victims they were "embarrassing his hometown", and the police ignored the requests of the victims' families for the case to be handled by a female officer. In August 2007, Seoul High Court found the Miryang police officers guilty of negligence in protecting the victims, and ordered them to pay damages totaling 50 million won to two of the victims and their family. In 2012 it emerged that the girlfriend of one of the perpetrators had become a police officer. Police said a 14-year-old girl had been raped as many as 10 times by three to 24 high school boys. The boys reportedly blackmailed her to keep quiet unless she wanted pictures of her rape to be spread around her school. Then she was ordered to bring her younger sister and older cousin, aged 13 and 16, to Miryang.

This movie premiered in 2013 though, right? I'm not sure why an article comes out now?

    ReplyDelete
  101. the judicial system is sexist pretty much everywhere

    ReplyDelete
  102. Life imprisonment without the possibility of parole please

    ReplyDelete
  103. True. I suddenly remember junko furuta... My heart aches when I remember her story....

    ReplyDelete
  104. What justice system?
I don't know much about the S.K. Law system, but they need to re-open this case and get these rapists back in jail or release their information to the public. If these guys are in college and living normal lives, the public needs to know who they are so they can protect themselves and their daughters.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I cannot imagined how much the girl have suffered at the very young age ~ the torture she had to go through and the justice she did not received from their legal system. Can they re-open her case and punish the assailant still at large?

    ReplyDelete
  106. In the comments, a few of them did find some of their Facebook pages so yeah they're working on it.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Release the information of the pieces of trash and ruin their lives. Part of the income garnered by this movie should go to the victim so she can rebuild her life.

    ReplyDelete
  110. His is ridiculous these cops everywhere need to be put in check

    ReplyDelete
  111. some of the comments were about identities they uncovered

plus korea probably does have their own internet movements we just don't hear about them

    ReplyDelete
  112. This police is such a failure.

    ReplyDelete
  113. why the fuck is her identity released to the public when those devils are being kept a secret?! korea continues to amaze me and how awful they can be.

    ReplyDelete
  114. the justice system has failed countless women all over the world, not just korea

    ReplyDelete
  115. Can you imagine these people just walking along the streets as free people...meeting new women...and those women not even knowing a thing about their past....I feeling fucking sick. Those things we call people are fucking sick.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Oh yeah I know, Lifetime does it all the time. Even if they didn't get her permission, I'm sure she'll be grateful for this story getting more attention. Maybe this will lead to some change.

    ReplyDelete
  117. At least with those rapists and murderers that did that to Junko Furuta they got a sentence (not a long enough one) but a magazine did release all their information. But they truly deserved life imprisonment so they get suffer in jail, the death penalty is letting them off too easy.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Info on that (from Wikipedia):
On November 25, 1988, four boys, including a 17-year-old whose name was Jō and was later given the surname Kamisaku, abducted and held Furuta, a third-year high school student from Misato, Saitama Prefecture, for over 40 days. She was held captive in the house owned by the parents of Kamisaku, in the Ayase district of Adachi, Tokyo.

In order to avoid any concern over her abduction, the perpetrators forced Furuta to call her parents and tell them that she would be staying at a friend’s house for a while. The parents of the boy who owned the house were present at least part of the time Furuta was held captive, yet did not intervene, later claiming that they feared their son too much to do so.

The killers hid her corpse in a 55-gallon drum filled with concrete; the perpetrators disposed of the drum in a tract of reclaimed land in Kōtō, Tokyo. When the victim's mother was informed of what had happened, she fainted and had to be taken for psychiatric treatment.

  120. It's a Pann post so maybe the person recently saw it & decided to go into detail about the incident.

    ReplyDelete
  121. There was a dad in India who killed his 14-year-old daughter's rapist at the dinner table, burned his genitals off and then strangled him. Meanwhile, this poor lady had her father fight over money from her case.

Even her family failed her. I don't know how much more cruel life can be. It's too much just reading this but she lived through it. Just...how could they do this to her.

    ReplyDelete
  122. this kind of shit happens in america too tho

    ReplyDelete
  123. In America, we have a shitty justice system as well.

    ReplyDelete
  124. you're probably talking to a 12 year old or english is their second language

    ReplyDelete
  125. Might be. Either way it's good people are learning about it, albeit a decade late...

    ReplyDelete
  126. how do you know she'll be grateful tho? that's the thing, no one knows how she feels about it & it's not good to assume about things like this

    ReplyDelete
  127. Memories of murder was also based on a true story
Wasn't theire also a movie based on a true story about 3 children gone missing.

    ReplyDelete
  128. yeah right. Rape can destroy people, I know a few people that were raped and they do carry the pain (even after 30 years). I'm just not strong enough to live after something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  129. they might go to hell which is worse

    ReplyDelete
  130. lots of people don't believe in hell. I want people to pay for what they've done here, now, in this life.

    ReplyDelete
  131. She has no idea how lucky she was

    ReplyDelete
  132. This is... ridiculous. HOW I mean HOW IN THE WORLD can this actually HAPPEN?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  133. Silenced was also made after a true story and the kids never got justice for what they went through. The worst part is that they cannot even defend themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I wonder if anyone will eng subtitle this movie. Seems like a lot of korean movies with heavy messages don't get translated a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I can only imagine not wanting to. Can you imagine being the translator, subber or even the timer and having to re-listen to everything again and again to catch what is being said while complete horror is being played on the screen :(

  136. I hope they do. Aside from the justice the young girl deserves, the public deserve to know who these criminals are to keep themselves safe (since the damn authorities sure as hell won't be).
I'm surprised they aren't even on some sort of register or have a criminal record. These scumbags will live a fine life after they ruined another's.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Yeah if it gains enough attention, hopefully something will come out of this.

    ReplyDelete
  138. 6. [+204, -0] (Netizen found the Facebook of one of the assailants)

    Wow... :))

    ReplyDelete
  139. OMG. Sometimes I am just shocked by what teenagers are capable of...

    ReplyDelete
  140. So what I get from this is that the police is a completely useless piece of shit.

    ReplyDelete
  141. "Are you sure you didn't seduce them first?" "What were you wearing?" "Did you know that it was dangerous to walk alone at night?" "Are you sure you're not just confuse? Many women confusing sexual intercourse with consent to rape after they did it" "why didn't you report it earlier?" "How much did you drink?"

Are some of the universal questions asked to rape victims that bravely facing their demons and asking for help, in many parts of the world. Including countries that supposedly liberal and advanced and whatnot.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Well sorry for going into assumptions when that's not even how I meant it. However, if it gains enough attention so someone else doesn't have to suffer like her then that'll be a good thing.

    ReplyDelete
  143. "Everyone was let off without it going on their criminal record. As of today, they are either currently in college or living normal lives in society"
Makes me want to throw up.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Death penalty is looked down upon because there is always the slight chance that the person is innocent, and you can't bring someone back from the end

    ReplyDelete
  145. not only useless but complicit.

    ReplyDelete
  146. I dont even know what to say about that, like that frickin disgusting I really cant even imagine.... im so sorry for her

    ReplyDelete
  147. more than useless

    ReplyDelete
  148. NO it isn't. It isn't like AT ALL here in Denmark! Rape can get you up till 12 years in jail while murder can get you lifetime if it is directly and up to 8 years if it was an accident.

    ReplyDelete
  149. They deserve execution and go to HELL
    This world is rooten

    ReplyDelete
  150. So many injustices in society.. I thought the girl who was tortured and raped by her brother was already bad enough.. How on earth did not only SK but society as a whole come to this?

    ReplyDelete
  151. WOW here in Denmark they can get up to 8 years and then up to 12 if it's an underage. ARE U SERIOUS. 2 YEARS??

    ReplyDelete
  152. I seriously hope that some money from this goes to the actual victim...

I lost hope for the near future that something will change with their system there...but hey, they have a dual-law system there: one for woman and one for men...
I mean laws aren't perfect and from human point of view not 'fair' enough or 'too much', most of the time, but this is ridiculous...again...I want to throw up only by the imagination that they are going to have their own families, kids...disgusting and I feel so sorry for her that she didn't get the help she needed

btw aren't there any organisations or some sorts who have some power, who can 'pressure' the government, police or whoever for the rights of women or rape victims or so? really want to know

I really think rape should be punished with a life-long jailtime...the victims have to fight with this for their entire life too
personally, If I were to think it will happen to my own child I don't know if these guys still were able to live a happy life

    ReplyDelete
  153. And if a women gets away with this stuff? what you gotta hate then? :) can't hate on men for that right? :)

    ReplyDelete
  154. The fact that it has to be forbidden is sad but at least France is doing something

    ReplyDelete
  155. Welp when things get to the point of vigilante justice I don't want to hear shit. Had you fucking done your job in the first place you wouldn't have to worry about people taking matters into their own hands. Can't count on the police to do anything right.

    ReplyDelete
  156. This is so sad.I'm crying. It's so unfair!Justice, korea, justice!Firstly as a woman, then 16 years old girl,i can just try to imagine her fear and pain..

    ReplyDelete
  157. You couldn't make this story up because similar things like this happen all the time. Ain't it wonderful being born a female.

    ReplyDelete
  158. I'm saying that Korean laws are BS because they let rapist go unharmed while suggesting 3 years for people who black mailed.

    ReplyDelete
  159. *most places then, denmark is def not the norm

    ReplyDelete
  160. So you give some people rights to take the life of other people ? :)

But yeah like someone else said. there is a chance that the person i Prison isn't the right person. just like some days ago i heard about a Women who was in prison with a Death sentence for 20 years but now is free and all the charges are dropped against her. cause she was no part of the crime.

Now imagine she was killed 3 years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  161. but sometimes its easier than typing in the words, the gifs express your anger and your opinion/point

    ReplyDelete
  162. the victim gets her name and personal info released to the public while the assailants remain anonymous and live comfortable lives while they blend in with society. fuck the world.

    ReplyDelete
  163. I just need to watch this movie, this case is very famous and disgusting like these is not people or animals, just trash who deserve to rott in jail and that "police" no comment.................................

    ReplyDelete
  164. gifs are more associated with comedic relief which is why I feel it's inappropriate here

    ReplyDelete
  165. this is one of the most fucked up things i've read. 44 days of hell. omg.

    ReplyDelete
  166. "[+1,332, -2] Wake up, Korea"

Not only Korea. Please, wake up, world

    ReplyDelete
  167. Law will never be Justice.

    ReplyDelete
  168. First time I am wanting knetz to break privacy laws. If I ever cross the assailant, I will spit at him. As for the policewoman, I am ashamed of her. I hope she has daughters.

    ReplyDelete
  169. I watched the movie. I cried while watching it without subtitles. I cried more after knowing that it is based off a true story. I watched it again and cried even harder knowing what happen and the situation she is in. This movie is amazing, really.

    4. [+358, -2] It should also be remembered that there was a policewoman
named Hwang Sun Mi who supported the gang rape and not only is she a
policewoman today but is even advancing up the ladder ㅋㅋ

Yep. & You have no idea what ridiculous thing she wrote on her personal statement. http://www.koreabang.com/2012/stories/friend-of-rapist-becomes-police-officer-netizens-disgusted.html

    ReplyDelete
  170. the police that thought she seduced the guy can go fck off. What kind of person would want to seduce many guys & let them rape her? We women has something that called "pride" too.

    ReplyDelete
  171. OMG, thats horrible. and to think that the rapists have been out in the world without care and free to live their life with their head held high...ughhh...

some people might say our country are pretty f-ed up, but when it comes to rapist we usually delivered.

    for example:

    http://www.corpun.com/myj00601.htm#17278

    http://www.corpun.com/myj00608.htm#18084

    http://www.corpun.com/13archive/myj01302.htm#24347

    http://www.corpun.com/13archive/myj01305.htm#24478

in fact I had been made to understood by my friends who practice law that, in rape cases, they usually told those convict who want to appeal for leniency on their punishment to "don't bother" as the court in my country tend to be unsympathetic to this kind of crime and in fact will just add the sentence to prolong the imprisonment term or add extra canning to them by at least 2 fold.

    ReplyDelete
  172. May those fucking assholes burn in the deepest circles of hell. So disgusting.

    ReplyDelete
  173. I'm speechless. How horrific can society be...

    ReplyDelete
  174. Holy shit. Not faith in humanity whats so ever. Honestly. I am lost for words

    ReplyDelete
  175. I'm reading this on the bus... But I can't help cry for her! Society and the legal system failed her so much. People are going to disagree with me, but this is one of the times where I really think death penalty should be an optio

    ReplyDelete
  176. Fucking hell... this is unbelievable.

I have the movie queued, because there are no subs, but I need to watch it even like that.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Just so you know, multiple studies have been done to confirm that the false accusation rate for rape accusations is roughly the same as all other crimes. I'm afraid your point does not hold up.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Reading every single line from this article I'm already disgusted. then i realized that it's based on a real story my heart just sank sigh

    ReplyDelete
  179. I have never felt so pissed on netizenbuzz before (except those bully news)
that I even looked up on the Korean news site and found about the Facebook sites and some pictures that netizen claimed of those worthless Bastards f*ck them all. I hope their new life's will turn into hell for them

    ReplyDelete
  180. Damn it. I really hope karma bites them hard in the ass!!!

    ReplyDelete
  181. don't compare denmark lol it's on of the few countries that is worth living in

    ReplyDelete
  182. I am so disgusted and enraged reading all of this. This is really one of the first times I have cried while reading an article. It is really not fair how these girls are always asked things like "are you sure you didn't seduce them?" and these guys get off the hook so easily. It is really not fair. I can't even imagine how she felt and also being forced to bring her cousin and younger sister in must have hurt so much. How did the assailants mothers even get mad at the girl and not their own sons! How are they even married, have jobs and have children! It is sickening and just makes it more apparent to me that this world is cruel and scary.

    ReplyDelete
  183. well I hope at least Karma will set justice

    ReplyDelete
  184. "룸싸롱 CEO 납셨어요~ 갈매기한테 설사약 먹인 사람들은 나쁜놈이고 평생 상처안고 살아갈 피해자만든 넌?? 넌 나쁜놈 아니냐 누가 누구보고 나쁜놈이래ㅋ ㅂㅅ새ㄲㅣ"

Are they saying one is now a CEO?!

    ReplyDelete
  185. let's face it, Lee Byun Hun already had a dirty past when she married him so obviously she knew what she signed for.
some people are like that, they deal with shit just to have what they want.
in her case i wouldn't be surprised if it's about money and the thrilll to have married someone powerful.
i don't know why people were obligatory seeing her as a naive woman.
her image is pretty much ruined now.

    ReplyDelete
  186. D-did that policeman seriously asked a 14-year-old girl if she SEDUCED her rapists?!

    WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?

    ReplyDelete
  187. Man ur so naive. Communism kills people Capitalism kills people. Religious people kill people and so do atheists. Ideologies can be perfect but humanity will always be kinda shitty so not a single ideology can be carried out perfectly. And thats basically the history of the world summed up.

    ReplyDelete
  188. Sony picture and entertainment is just subsidiary...its americans.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  191. Society sighs In mexico police abducted teens and gave them to drugcartel to be murdered. You can name several things that just shows how sick our legal systems , police and general society are.

    ReplyDelete
  192. That person is not the kind to change their views so I think it's a waste of time to debate
