Article: [Screen] 'The Art of Fist Duel' loses both Yeo Jin Goo and Kim Soo Hyun, can it get back to where it was?
Source: Sports Korea via Naver
The movie had originally had Jo In Sung as the male lead but Yeo Jin Goo was contracted in the end. Producers found out that Yeo Jin Goo had also contracted another movie and told his company that they didn't want him focusing on another movie while their movie was set for crank in at the end of August.
Yeo Jin Goo's company refuted that he would have no problem fulfilling the film schedule for the movie and said they had no right to involve themselves in his other activities.
While he was still under contract, the movie producers were then said to have contacted Kim Soo Hyun to replace Yeo Jin Goo because the movie's majority investors were Chinese and they thought Kim Soo Hyun had more name as a Hallyu star. CJ E&M denied these claims.
Yeo Jin Goo's company ws not pleased with the movie contacting another actor for the role when contracts were already finalized.
Kim Soo Hyun opted out of the role entirely due to the controversy surrounding it.
Opinions on the issue are divided, with some blaming Yeo Jin Goo's company for overworking him and others blaming the movie producers for overstepping contract boundaries.
-
1. [+5,586, -54] So they were turned down by Kim Soo Hyun after turning down Yeo Jin Goo for Kim Soo Hyun, yeah?
2. [+4,988, -36] Kim Soo Hyun and Yeo Jin Goo both made the right decision to opt out of the movie
3. [+3,819, -20] At this point, who is going to want to do a movie with this much controversy around it...
4. [+3,448, -148] The movie's image is destroyed now. No one will watch it, even if Won Bin picks it up.
5. [+513, -6] They didn't just lose their male leads, they lost the audience as well.
6. [+477, -10] It's good that both of them opted out of it. They're young actors with bright futures, they don't have to do everything they're cast in.
7. [+456, -5] The fact that they tried to cast Jo In Sung, Yeo Jin Goo, and Kim Soo Hyun is so weird... I get Yeo Jin Goo and Kim Soo Hyun since they play the child/adult roles together and have similar images but how could you exchange Jo In Sung for Yeo Jin Goo? Their age and image are so different.
8. [+397, -13] This is better for the both of them. This drama smells like failure anyway... It's a waste of Yeo Jin Goo's talent to go through with it. Good for Kim Soo Hyun to avoid it as well.

You sound like you're just bored and want your kpop back tbh.
ReplyDeleteYou misunderstood. Guest said that ilbe is worse, not the other way.
ReplyDeleteYea, that was so shady of them
ReplyDeleteHe's actually 16 O.O
ReplyDeleteYeah, omg I saw an interview with him and as soon as he started speaking i was like "woooooaaaahhhhh wtf, ...that's hawt"
YJG is the child actor for JIS in 'A Frozen Flower'. lol I'm glad the three all turned down the role.

I've noticed they make him play roles years older than his actual age.
ReplyDeleteI recently saw him in a drama and in that particular episode that Fx Krystal was in, she called him 'oppa' several times. Krystal is a '94liner and Yeo Jingoo is a '97liner
a diver was actually reported to be injured. weather conditions are still not fair and could be dangerous. I'm sorry but I have to say something on rudeness of some of your comments in the past articles. maybe it wasnt intended but please do not belittle the efforts of the divers. These are ppl who are risking their lives to save ppl they don't know. And no. It is not just shallow water in a strait. if it was shallow, how did an entire passenger ship sink to the ground? and yes. those rescued are in desperate need of mental help after what they've gone through. But so do these divers who are swimming in pitch dark water with nothing but a rope to guide them. Can you just stop to imagine how traumatizing it must be suddenly enter a room and find ten floating bodies in front of you? please do not make it sound like this rescue mission is simple. please do not belittle the divers.
ReplyDeleteLol so true
ReplyDeleteJIS decided to join the movie right after the discharge, and spent two years waiting for this project to kick off. I'm glad he stopped waiting and returned with TWTWB. I need to see his gorgeous face all the time!!
ReplyDeleteAnd doing that to a teenage boy is so not cool!! and ILLEGAL!!!!! He signed a contract w/ you guys!
Why they don't cast Lee Jong Suk then?
ReplyDeletei hope they find it well with Katy Perry's Dark Horse lol
ReplyDeleteWell, a lot of actors/actresses play roles that are a lot younger then they are. That is why whenever I watched a tv or movies based in high school, I often would laugh because you can tell when the lead is much older then they play.
ReplyDeleteWhile here we don't know what happen to our missing plane, even it's true the plane ended up it route in the most loneliness ocean in the world (Indiana Ocean)..enough if they found the black box to bottle out the mysterious behind this tragedy but seems like no hope for this moment. But we keep praying for others safety, for the families of crew and passenger on board to stay strong and keep on living, same goes to Sewol ferry tragedy, even none of the passenger board alive, keep on praying for the families to stay strong, keep living, won't do anything harm to their own precious lives. Maybe some of them don't believe in God existence. But to those who believe in God,God knows the best. LIKE A RAINBOW AFTER THE RAIN, THERE'S ALWAYS A GOOD THING AFTER THE PAIN. Just don't lose hope and keep praying.
ReplyDeleteJo In Sung waited for this movie for more than 2 yrs
ReplyDelete49 bodies so far....it just breaks my heart every time i see the number increase...there were 13 bodies found today.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I would want Kang Ha Neul to move away from playing a high school student since I find he is stuck in that role. Seriously, the past few years he's been stuck being a high school student. I would love to see him in this.
ReplyDeleteyesssssssss, so proud

I was annoyed since they've been complaining during the rescue operation.
ReplyDeleteHow bad is the diver's condition?
The second picture. Kill me now.
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely appalled at how all of this has played out. If the captain took his duty of care, if the Korean government arrived there quicker and accepted help instead of blabbing to the media about things they were going to do instead of doing them, the judicial system for sentencing the captain for 7 years. I'd be ashamed right now, you've let these kids down. Especially those who had the chance to survive and instead spent the last 4 nights cold, hungry and lifeless. But I'd like the thank the divers, volunteers and people who have donated to this disaster. I hope parents and family of those missing and now presumably dead can find solace thought that at least.
ReplyDeletejournalists should really stop filming when people were on their way to hospital. There are many cases where people die because they block the way.. We want the news but not in this way..
ReplyDeletejust hope all their bodies will be found and give back to their parents. RIP
i'm scared to watch this .n. like…. creepy stuffs -.-
ReplyDeletesomeone died from rescue assistance..rip
ReplyDeleteWhen MH370 was reported missing, everyone I know was praying for their safety and no one questions God. God is Almighty. Maybe we had forgotten him too much with all the technology and entertainment to remember Him and know that even the greatest ship shall sink if He wants to. I know you want to reply something because you don't agree but that's just how I feel.. I believe that those lives that were lost died in peace. They saved someone's lives and their parents although in sorrow are proud of their daughter.. they should let them go with love and closure; and move on with life.. When MH370 was gone I keep reminding myself ... that nothing is greater than God. Let's appreciate what we already have and not be too proud of it and claim it happened because of us.
ReplyDeleteJin Goo is 8 years younger than me abd I'd still hit that...jail bait.
ReplyDeleteIt's fucked up. I just wish that the bodies can be recovered and ppl get a sense of closure at least. For me, I really thought that most of them were alive and could be rescued (that's what the news made it seem like) but now I find out that all those kids died waiting hopelessly. ;~;
ReplyDeleteHe is playing a teenage boy in Angel eyes. I wish its about time he gets an adult role.

I remember when typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines where approximately 6,000 people died and hundreds still missing until now. That time, I had difficulty breathing watching news and seeing those people lose their homes and families. I shed too much tears. T__T
ReplyDeleteoh no T.T
ReplyDeletei saw a video of the little girl at the hospital but i didn't know about her brother's action.
ReplyDeleteit is so sad, if only he stayed with her T.T
Just curious, because i'm interested to hear out a different point of view and I promise, I mean no harm -
ReplyDeleteIf God choose to end the lives of hundreds of innocent people (and then "delay" the search and rescue) just to remind followers that they have to recognize the "good" and appreciate him, wouldn't that be morally... not right?
so if i follow what you are saying is that God is a selfish narcissic who needs to spread terror and fear to be sure that people will believe in him ? well, that's nice...
ReplyDeleteI am still praying and still believe in God. What I really don't like are people who say "What is the use of praying. Just give up?? Where is your God and why did He do this in the first place??" Or any other comments like that and I'm disappointed at all the negativity. Praying instills hope for a miracle and to be able to contemplate about our mixed feelings (and somehow come to understanding with them).
ReplyDeleteI don't know...I feel like the athiest comments aren't helping in this situation when there are religious parents etc..
I see no relevance to my comment in what you wrote. Sorry.

Oh, the blahblahs, those are so informative when you see it popping out of the translator,
ReplyDeletethat's what made me so angry.. as soon as the captain n crew knew something was wrong with the ship, they should have quickly instructed all the passengers to do the evacuation.. but they just asked them to wait..geeez.. that's the main thing to do.. the ship wouldn't directly flip over right..it needed time to flip over and sunk...there's still time for the evacuation and rescue themselves..
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed that episode . little JungKook <3
ReplyDeleteThings happen for a reason and God is like an invisible friend who will interfere when the time is right I think. This is sort of hard to explain...but I think each life has their purpose in this world and will be remembered forever. The will be able to live in peace in the after life. If all of them miraculously survived than people will go about their normal lives, not changing anything. It makes you appreciate your lives and bring about the change that this world needs?
ReplyDeleteI hope I am making sense...
"I know you're waiting for your missing children to come back. Please take your mind off it by waiting for Girl's Day instead."
ReplyDelete- Bang Minah
KSH is smart to avoid them. If they don't honor a contract they made with YJG, why would they honor one they make with him?
ReplyDeleteyes that's why pregnant women get shot up their uteruses, things happen for a reason...
ReplyDeleteoh wait no...the devil did that.
Did she really????????!!
ReplyDeleteu r jokin right lol
ReplyDeleteYeah, Yeo Jin Gu is literally the most promising child actor right now.
ReplyDeleteHe is precious and valuable!
You yourself said that it was shallow waters. for an entire ship to sink completely, the water is obviously not shallow. that was the point I was making. not that I don't understand why ships sink.
ReplyDeleteExperts have said that if they have taken the lifejacket and jump out of the ship instead of staying in as what the captain have said, survival rate will be high & almost everyone have more than 80% of surviving. Yet the son of the bitch captain decided to escaped with the crew first. He is already so old and have lived more than enough. Most of the students is only 17 and still have a lot of things that they have not enjoyed or experienced. During the earthquake in Japan, elderly there decided to continue staying at where the nuclear explosion is to 'absorb' the radiation so that the future generation can live their future live longer without getting the diseases. I can't imagine how selfish and disgusting those captain and crew are. I highly doubt they will be charge heavily or even punished under korean law. Those innocent people had died for nothing. And those trashy journalist and reporter can you please spare a thoughts for those parents that had loss their child and not barge in the camera right into the face? Imagine someone your love is still out in the sea not found yet you have a bunch of people like you guys bugging them, how will you feel? Read a report online, lost hope in everything due to some of the behaviour that koreans is showing. Reporters blocking off the road resulting in delay of operation, etc
ReplyDeleteWhat's really heartbreaking is that I heard that almost 40+ bodies have been found and there are still missing people. That captain and crew should be ashamed of themselves and should go to prison for life cause this is pure murder! I just wanna cry for the victims and their families, I'm still praying that there's still survivors if any

ReplyDeleteAt this point any type of broadcast could somewhat ease the pain from the ferry incident, but an illbe special? I don't know about that
ReplyDeletesome entertainers who couldn't get out of schedules because of contractual obligations looked very melancholy throughout.
ReplyDeleteBy next week I hope that true healing can begin for the whole country. I hope that they stand with the families who lost someone. Entertainment may heal the rest of the country, but those families will be in a living hell for years and no amount of entertainment can help them at this time.
The country needs to heal and then help to heal those who have lost.

Is it the same guy who got injured?
ReplyDeletei think it's not true, aparently the boy died days ago.. (it was said by an expert but i don't have the source sorry)...there's been a lot false information, specially because the media hasn't been very cautious ..at first they said that all the people were saved, also the first time that they said the divers had enter the boat was also false (they did it like a day after that)... it's been really hard for the families because of that... (that's what i've managed to get watching the news but i'm not korean so maybe i'm mistaken..) :(...
ReplyDeleteJust when I though we could not have anymore insensitive comments.
ReplyDelete.......wow......
ReplyDeletewell that's one very angry and twisted way to see it....of course, another way you could re-interpret what I typed would be that, it helps give value to the good things. Even if I were to take God and his desires for us to turn to Him out of the equation, the message of treasuring what precious things you do have, when you have them, still remains. We have a habit of taking things for granted, without stopping to appreciate it.
Please tell me that this is a very bad joke

ReplyDeleteThe Captain's own choice brought this.....
ReplyDeleteThe conditions wouldn't have gotten worse.
I agree, this whole situation is a mess and now the movie is going to take the hit. But seriously, Yeo Jin Goo is still a child, and he is working nonstop. After Potato Star he's slated for another drama and i think immediately after that drama he was supposed to film this movie but the producers didn't feel comfortable with it because he would have to go through martial arts training. The fact that they contacted KSH while still under contract with YJG is way not cool, but I can understand the movie production teams' concerns.
ReplyDeleteI hope he gets some rest though. 16 years old and working nonstop...I can't imagine!
Unfortunately, all those stories of surviving in air pockets were false....
ReplyDeleteIt's possible but it will take like a month.... then it would be too late.

that really messes with my mind because he's so hot and then you remember....jailbait. and not even legal in korea for 2 more years :(
ReplyDeletehe's so hot and his voice ʘ‿ʘ
did you watch secretly greatly? that's a quite different role for him and he succeed
ReplyDeleteI've been following this for a few days now. Basically, there are 476 passengers. 325 of the passengers are students, mainly Danwon high school students, and there were around 14 teachers with them. As of right now there are confirmed 56 deaths, but only 19 or so have been identified. 12 students, 2 teachers, 4 other, 2 crew. A little bit of a sooth for the pain, 174 people were rescued, including 75 students, 3 teachers, 17 crew, 80 others. Many of the students were reunited with their families.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, the death toll is raising but no survivors are being found. Other countries have confirmed that they will get involved if they need to. If there is no other options, they will attempt to use cranes on the ferry to lift it out of the water. If you think about it, this could kill practically all possible survivors (unless proven otherwise). Due to immense regret and guilt, the vice principal of the school who arranged the trip committed suicide by hanging himself. Both parents and students chose the ferry over flying for the trip due to the large price difference.
There is a team that takes families DNA's and tries to identify the bodies by determining the DNA's. This is completely voluntary.
Families are residing in a gymnasium on chairs and floor beds. After frustration, they were heading to the blue house (korean white house equivalent), but they have since returned after they were told the Prime Minister would come to the gymnasium.
There are over 560+ divers trying to search the ferry and it's cabins. The windows are practically unbreakable. Hope is diminishing but people are hoping for miracles. There are several ustreams that are live - showing the gymnasium the family are in. Link; http://www.ustream.tv/channel/wing365ch2
There are two large screens in the gymnasium that the families watch. I believe one is a news station that is renowned in Korea, and another is live footage of the site of the ferry sinking. This is just what I think, though.
I am also very disappointed with those kinds of responses, not only because of the negativity it provides, but a majority of those who are praying desperately to hear any news of their loved ones are either Christians or Catholics. So not only are these poor folks going crazy because the rescue process is going slow - bad weather, high tides and they see with their own eyes hundreds of divers on standby, which only causes them to emotionally escalate because in their minds, everyone that can should be in the water (even though the safety of the divers need to be taken into consideration - 2 divers got lost underwater and needed to be rescued - the family of those missing aren't exactly in a calm state of mind...) but you've also got other people commenting and questioning the one thing that keeps them from giving up - their faith....it's like a slap in the face for these people who are desperate to hang on to any sort of hope.
ReplyDeleteyeah me too, i loved to see their crack jokes on each other but i think now isn't the appropriate time for that..
ReplyDeletebut i am desperate to see their long project but i guess we just have to wait.

exactly what I commented on 2 prev articles. I hope the citizens can maintain their mental stability.
I can't keep up with the news right now due to other things. I read there's still discontent between the locals and police.
ReplyDeleteNow we got a dead navy officer. I really want to volunteer, but am thousands of miles from the other side of the pacific. I knew all the consequences this foolish captain will bring....-_-
or the three issues faced by IG all in one : scrip writer changed and kim soo ok being cut (tho i know the reason for that), wages being not paid on time, and jin se yeon double booking controversy...
ReplyDeleteSince you said it was honest curiosity, I'll reply (but I do feel uncomfortable continually discussing the "logistics" in religion - especially since I feel it takes away from what's happening here and opens doors to a mess that I just don't want to deal with right now)
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I can't say that it's morally correct or incorrect. I'm not God and so I can't put a definition on what his standards are. Do I personally welcome such events? No....I would prefer that these kinds of things never have to happen...I wish for things like world peace and peaceful deaths. But I believe that all things happen for a reason. And I don't know how to phrase this next part w/o sounding insensitive, so I do sincerely apologize to anyone who might be offended while reading this, but I view events like these to be a show of "hard love". God is cruel as He is loving. Sometimes what we need are strong reminders every now and then, in order to fully appreciate the things we do have.
Keep in mind, though, that this isn't my ANSWER to your question, but my OPINION led by my faith.....I hoped that helped...
I dont understand the captain at all. No matter how much I think about it I'd rather die then bear the burden of hundreds of human lives over because of me. To me its so obvious. But Ive never been scared of death the way some people are...
ReplyDeletePretty sure humans don't control tectonic plates and volcanic eruptions. Be careful with your absolutes..
ReplyDeleteThis is just so heartbreaking. I don't see any hope in finding any survivors and now there is even a dead rescue worker. These deaths are so senseless too. Those were young and strong people who could have endured and survived this if they were given the chance to.
ReplyDeleteme too. watched dream high and YWCFTS, and i find nothing impressive of him tbh. just plain and mediocre. there's definitely lots of better actors out there. yeo jin goo's acting alone is superior imo
ReplyDeleteWhere villains, trolls and all the bad men and women are in..
ReplyDeleteMy parents are.. Shit you got me Bisu.
ReplyDeleteLike these type of comments? Just pray for those people to realize how cruel it is to even think of such thoughts..
ReplyDeleteNot to sound blunt but we all must die anyway? Like I don't think one can address your question without addressing the question of why does death and suffering exist? Which then leads to why do we exist (because death and suffering are so intricately tied to human's perception of existence)? To answer your question... there is no answer. If you want to get religious about it: "God works in mysterious ways" is the to go quote for this kind of existentialist dilemna. Meaning that we don't know why anything happens because as humans we don't have the capability to fathom the inner workings of the universe and the cause and effect of every single thing that happens or its relevance to the universe and the people in it... which is not untrue. According to faith, only God can understand. Whether you believe that or not is up to you.
ReplyDeletei liked KSH in dream high and the moon/sun until YWCFTS happened and i find his acting boring or maybe its just the character but JJH really outshined him..maybe its better to paired him with actress like suzy and han ga in.. he definitely outshined them..
ReplyDeletebut the last time I visited 4chan years ago(before the boxxy girl blew up) everything I saw on that sight were horrible(I can't forget the cat on fire thingy...although they got me with the anonymous movement). Ilbe is much worst than that?
ReplyDelete................. -_-
ReplyDeleteI understand comments like these. People are confused and angry. They think bad things should only happen to bad people not innocent high school students... which would be ideal but we all know it doesnt work that way.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if this qualifies as believing in God since I think the 'God created us all' thing is bull, together with some other stories because ~science~ but I do think that there is /something/ out there, some sort of divine being that rewards, helps and punishes us. Kind of like karma, if you do good, good will come, if you do bad, then bad will come but this isn't always the case because for there to be good there has to be bad and vice versa.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually afraid of the fact that this is my belief because my country is extremely Catholic. Divorce isn't allowed and supporters of the reproductive health bill are labeled as "Team Death." People don't seem to like atheists either, calling them ignorant, stupid, etc. Another thing is that I still pray, I thank God for things and I ask him for favors too so I feel like I'm on a highway to hell for /not really/ believing in him but still asking for things.
(I was born in 2000 so like if I said anything wrong or seemed ignorant then I'm sorry.)
Whether or not you believe in God, I don't see what's wrong with having some hope, it's the only thing the devastated families have left..
ReplyDeleteWell, let's say God definately existed. He created life and death. Already, he is bound to 'end lives'. But then could life exist without death? Not that we know of. He created good and bad. But what is good without bad? Could we feel what is goodness if everything is good? Idk. As the legend of Adam and Eve goes, the earth was first created as a paradise but humans were given the arbitary choice to basically do and believe as we please. And yet you know how that tale ends... Now I don't necessarily believe in Adam and Eve but I think it's a good metaphor to describe human consciousness. This idea of even if we were in the midst of paradise, we wouldn't know it nor appreciate it unless we are aware there is also a hell. So to answer your question... it is complicated. As faith goes, God is good but that doesn't mean he always does good things. The idea of 'goodness' according to humans can be narrow and rudamental in comparison to a being that is supposed to be aware of all the inner workings of the universe...
ReplyDeleteHe never thought of finding another way to the situation, but stale....
ReplyDeleteGod gave us the ability to choose and to decide things for ourselves, unfortunately the captain made his choice which led to this. I can't blame God for any of this because this was something man did, not Him.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. I've been ranting on about the ex captain's choice and it's result. God doesn't even want people to die, but to SURVIVE.

ReplyDeleteWell i am an Atheist never actually believed in God I'd rather believe me myself and my family or people
ReplyDeleteNo. This is another person ..The diver injured his eye. I think hes okay? not many updates on him
ReplyDeleteI see, thanks
ReplyDeleteDID SHE REALLY SAID THAT!!!!? omg if she really did then she will get so much hate!..what insensitive thing to say!
ReplyDelete"I get Yeo Jin Goo and Kim Soo Hyun since they play the child/adult roles together and have similar images but how could you exchange Jo In Sung for Yeo Jin Goo? Their age and image are so different."
ReplyDelete^^^^ exactly. when i read this "The movie had originally had Jo In Sung as the male lead but Yeo Jin Goo was contracted in the end", i was like, eh? so random.
i... still don't get whats the meaning of ilbe
ReplyDeleteYour reply makes a lot of sense, don't worry! And it does provide an alternative POV that I didn't quite consider, especially on the parts of bringing about change. Also, I think the part on everyone having a purpose in the world is a lovely idea.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for this!
"4. [+3,448, -148] The movie's image is destroyed now. No one will watch it, even if Won Bin picks it up."
ReplyDeleteOh man, you know shit gets real when they think that not even their human god can save the movie...
(But then the question comes why do pain and sufferings exist in the world?
ReplyDeleteWe find sickness, old age and death. We see things that are ugly, people who are insane and foolish. There are storms, earthquakes, floods, draught and famine. We also see people commit sins, show disloyalty, unfaithfulness, greed and insincerity. We see people commit rapes, murders; they fight and make wars. We know all these and many more problems. There are evils caused by human beings and there are natural disasters. There are suffering for individuals and there are those that involve a large number of people.
But we also know that this is not the whole story. Besides all these negative things, we also see beauty, health, prosperity, life, birth, wisdom, intelligence, growth and progress. We also see goodness among people, faith, sincerity, charity, love and the spirit of sacrifice. We also see a lot of virtue and piety. It is wrong to see one side of the coin and not to see the other side. Any philosophy that concentrates on one aspect of the creation and denies or ignores the other side is partially true and partial truths are no truth at all.
It is also the fact that the element of good is more in the creation than the element of evil. We all see that there are more people who are healthy than those who are sick. There are more that eat well than those who starve.
There are more that lead decent life than those who commit crimes. Goodness is the rule and evil is the exception. Virtue is the norm and sin is the aberration. Generally trees bear fruits, the flowers bloom, the winds move smoothly.
Believers face the sufferings with prayers, repentance and good deeds. The non-believers face the sufferings with doubts and confusions. They blame Allah (God) or make arguments against Him.)
I quoted that from what you sent..loved it..thank you
I totally agree with that..
ReplyDeleteeven though I'm a believer I think bringing this topic will just cause arguments instead of anything else..here in this site we are all from different places in the world with different background and different beliefs so lets keep that to ourselves..
There's an information going around, saying the government refused help from other countries. I really hope it's not true...
ReplyDeleteDidnt the crews and captain know about the international regulation? Captain has to be the last one that comes out from the ship
ReplyDeleteThe 22 year old woman who aided the passengers to their escape and died received an honorary diploma from Suwon Science College...
ReplyDeleteawwwwwww!!!! Joonie so cute :)
ReplyDeletevictim's family should be thankful to the diver who risk his life.
ReplyDeleteSoooo... that ilbe site is basically a place for people to be EVIL/RUDE/IGNORANT as possible? OR there is other purpose? I think I've heard they kinda connected to some political figure in some way? (was it becuz they hate him/her or worship him/her?) From what I've heard it almost sounded like as if it's some kind of evil religious community with some rules? I guess I'll need to watch the program once it's started airing, becuz I don't really what it is.
ReplyDeleteilbi holly crap
ReplyDeleteI disagree. This captain does not represent all captains. Even on that ship there was heroes - some were the crew, some were teachers and some were the students. Yes there were selfish people on that ship, but there was heroes too.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever seen the videos about kpop stars worshipping the devil? B2ST, EXO (The Wolf one was pretty funny, tbh), B.A.P, 2NE1. It's hilarious. :')
ReplyDeleteI think your comment is a little overdramatic, but I agree.
ReplyDeleteIt's not the whole site who are like that, jfc. They have horrible people on that site, but not all of them are like that. .-.
ReplyDeleteHow is that harsh?
ReplyDelete8. [+1,131, -105] Does everyone know just what disgusting things Ilbe said about the Sewol Ferry accident? Saying how it's good riddance, calling the region cursed, saying the kids will be taken into slavery on an island.. Even photoshopped pictures of the late Noh Moo Hyun flipping over the Sewol Ferry.. these kids are just trash.
ReplyDeleteI realised how wrong what i am about to say now, but just let me say it. Why can't these people, whose best quality of themselves is to ruin the world aren't the ones placed in that sinking ship with helpless rescue team instead of the crew who actually put her live for the passenger and the boy who helped his sister to survive?
I know some of skeptics is going to say 'you don't know them in real life' or some other reason as to why i shouldn't say this and how this makes me no better, but this is genuinely what i think because being a vandal is one thing but to mock this kind of incident? Just where is the justice in all of this..?
The Jindo Coast Guard VTS are also at fault. They knew about the situation 8 minutes after the ship started to tilt. They did not tell the captain what he should do and it seemed as if they were OK with the captain leaving the passengers in place if they even bothered to ask him about it. The Jindo Coast Guard VTS are supposed to tell the ship's crew what to do. They are supposed to coordinate the rescue effort. They need to be investigated too.
ReplyDeleteThe Jindo Coast Guard VTS were told that "it is too dangerous to advance towards Sewol as it is severely leaning on its left side" by a nearby ship. I don't understand this. Nobody expects the nearby ship to go right up to the ship and rescue passengers that way. Just be within close vicinity to pick up passengers in the water.
It seemed like the Coast Guard and ship's crews are clueless about what to do in this sort of situation. They are talking about irrelevant things to one another. The captain's job is to report the problem and the location and get the passengers ready for evacuation. When a ship is tilting better do it fast otherwise you can't get off the ship easily.
The Coast Guard didn't even check to see what was being done with the passengers or didn't care even if they were told, and were just paying attention to stupid reports that the rescue ship couldn't approach the ferry close enough.
What did they think they were going to do? Rescue the passengers by doing a ship-to-ship transfer? How ridiculous. A ship is tilting, it's going to flip over and sink. It's not the time for neat rescues. Just get the passengers off the ship!
This article is nt accurate. Jo In Sung decided to join the movie before enlisting, this was his comeback project...he used to say this before in his interview (this movie has been in production process for 10 years) but turned down the project last year because he didn't want to wait anymore like Won Bin decided to turn down Lee Chang Dong's movie offer last year (this movie got delayed) then the production of Kwon Bob tried to find the male lead cast including Yoo Ah In, Yeo Jin Goo and the latter accepted the role. (some insider said Yeo Jin Goo was cast in this movie because of Choi Min Soo who was also cast in this one before)

And so they think they have the right to leave them dying....*rolleyes* We know the ship is carrying heavy loads of stuff.

There are. People like Park JiYoung and Jung Chawoong are the superheroes. Unfortunately the heroes don't ever seem to be the ones with the most power in situations like this

ReplyDeleteSo much fantastic dark drama in a week.
I think their questioning about the presence of God is like a shit! srsly, but I understand their situation. I just wanna say that it's like having Good and Bad... as well as Black and White... like Peace and War...
ReplyDeleteyou know that there's peace but in some point there's war...like not all times it's good, some are bad...
yes, I've seen most of his work. It was good. I'm not saying he is a bad actor. Saying he needs to pick roles that show his range. Now that he is at the top for young Korean actors, it is quite easy for him to choose the same type of roles.
ReplyDeleteI've seen much of his work and versatility doesn't just mean in the type of role. The versatility is in the performance. The range of emotions that he offers when playing them. As I said I would want him to play meatier parts and roles that show off his capabilities.
ReplyDeleteYour welcome :) Religion is quite complex haha. I hope you have a nice day ^_^!
ReplyDeletei always think 18 is too young to being my bias. then i remember, im stanning BTS so much,,,,,and the maknae is just similiar age with jin goo. why i feels so old ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
ReplyDeleteThat's right! I totally rolled my eyes when they casted lee min ho for the heirs. That boy does not look like he's in highschool!
ReplyDeleteThere's a mimiscule chance that anyone is still alive and that's only if there are people who found a dry spot in the ship. The irresponsibility of those in charge over the ship, the captain and the crew, is absolutely despicable. May those children be in a better place.
ReplyDeleteSensationalising a one-sided view of Ilbe for the propaganda and the ratings. How about something productive instead?
ReplyDeleteNot real. Stop the troll
ReplyDeleteHe earns a lot of money because he has to put his life in danger and he is responsible for the lifes on boat. So yes, if he wants to not risk his life, he should not enjoy his rich lifestyle and do another job. Not every job is for everyone. If he couldn't handle it he should never be a captain. I don't care how scared he was. You don't leave and let people to die. It's not a human think to do. I've seen catastrophies enough to know that a lot of people in bad situation like this risk their life and start helping random people that they never met before. Noone expects them to do and they don't earn money by doing this but yet here they are doing the stupid thing. So I don't think he deserves sympathy. I've lıved 2 earthquakes and 3 floods personaly and citizens died helping others citizens escape or get safe just because it was the noble thing to do. So no. He deserves to sympathy for me. It was his job and noone forced his to do it. (and I include all the crew on this)

ReplyDeleteGive me a break. The equivalent of burning witches?? The equivalent of a lynch mob?? Those people post anonymously. They're not getting prosecuted and killed for their opinions (which you know they can choose to divulge or not unlike black people that got lynched for something they have no control over/no way of hiding!!). Are you so invested bc you're a frequent user of the site or something? I doubt they care what we're saying as they don't know English and their comments can't be traced back to them anyway. You sound more like a koreaboo trying to defend shit you probably have no more information about than the rest of us.

ReplyDeleteoh sry I didn't mean to compare , I was just trying to say that this unfortunate incident happened once for maybe in 10 years but in a country like Palestine young children also die for no reason but it happens every day.
ReplyDeletewe should pray for all people who had died in any way
Yes, it is equivalent of burning witches because the media and NB only show the bad side of Ilbe. There have been plenty of good deeds in Ilbe which never catch the attention of the media. Why aren't hundreds of tributary posts not reported on the media?
ReplyDeleteLol. I beg to differ the notion of that it's possible to be be worse than 4chan. The things I have seen...
ReplyDeleteMany people don't really know to what insensitive level can go 4chan so they think Ilbe is a level-playing field. Maybe 4chan isn't now what it was but I don't think they're even comparable now.
Anything from encouraging suicide, doxxing people, hacking websites, posting all kind of gore, porn and dead people, jokes about the holocaust just for the lolz to protesting against things like scientology or 1%, putting one person on jail for hurting cats or helping people to get online on countries that had internet disconnected because of political protest just to get started. They have also made many of the historical memes you see now. It isn't that bad when you enter but things acumulate over time. The best and the worst of the internet.

ReplyDeleteequal the whole site. Ilbe is a huge site with over 30000 users so you can't
generalize the whole site based on handful of users. The current Ilbe logo has
a picture of praying hand and message saying "Hoping for a miracle."
Most Ilbe users are writing tributary posts and paying their respects right
now.
There was an Ilbe user on the
ferry as well. A high school user wrote about how he doesn't want to go to the
ferry trip to Jeju the next day. That was his last post.
One Ilbe user also sent a
condolence flower to one of the deceased.
Netizenbuzz,
why are you keep deleting my comment? It's not like it has any cuss words or
anything, Let people read and decide for themselves. Stop oppressing freedom of expression.

Yes, in fact many Ilbe users posted proofs of their monthly
ReplyDeletedonations to UNICEF when they heard about SBS doing a show on them with the
titles "Oh, look SBS. I'm such a trash. Look at what I have done."
