On a matchmaking show titled 'Jjak', a female contestant was found to have commit suicide midway through the episode's filming. A lot of speculations are being put out like how she might have suffered from depression prior to going on the show and it was exacerbated by the show's rules alienating her (she was not picked so she was forced to eat alone, etc) but of course, nothing is known for sure.
1. [+572, -37] She seemed to have already been depressed after breaking up with her boyfriend at the end of last year... and she was under those emotions when she applied to be a contestant on 'Jjak'.. and while she tried to cancel it once she was chosen, she couldn't so she had to go into filming and tried to be positive about it but once little things that bothered her started to build up, her depression seemed to have spiraled out of control.
2. [+543, -50] I don't know if producers putting cameras on her expecting her to cry is enough reason for her to end 30 years of her life...
3. [+560, -82] It's weird... it's weird no matter how much I think about it. How could she think to die there? I don't think she was a normal person.
4. [+38, -0] I think her suicide was spontaneous.... that's what's scary about depression. I feel bad for both the woman and the producers who have to go through all of this now.
5. [+29, -4] I think maybe she wanted to show her ex-boyfriend how hard of a time she had...
6. [+27, -5] I'm surprised she even managed to survive for 29 years with such a weak mental state. How could she commit suicide just because they stuck cameras on her? Then should everyone in jail commit suicide? The fact that she even thought to commit suicide there proves that she wasn't a normal person to begin with.

Article: 'Jjak' reps, "We are providing cast and staff with counseling"
Source: Joy News 24 via Naver
1. [+11,977, -745] SBS and 'Jjak' didn't do anything wrong. They're getting all this hate because of that woman's suicide and now the show's on the brink of closure. I feel bad for them. Rest in peace to the woman...
2. [+10,874, -108] I think the owner of the pension needs counseling as well..
3. [+10,312, -278] Why did she die there?
4. [+9,496, -297] Well now because of her, a lot more lives are going to be difficult..
5. [+7,027, -477] Did she want to be the main character of some tragedy or something...
6. [+3,176, -141] Why is SBS responsible for compensating her family? She didn't die from an accident there. She chose to end her own life. The victims in this are the show. They never got to finish filming the episode and now the show's on the brink of closure. Imagine how many people are losing their jobs because of one person.
7. [+2,932, -89] I feel bad for the pension owner ㅋ The producers can go produce another show if this one closes and the cast can get therapy but what about the pension owner ㅋ His pension is now known nationwide for suicide. He's going to lose customers and the price of his land will drop ㅋㅋ I feel the worst for him out of everyone ㅋㅋㅋ
8. [+2,656, -98] If she's going to commit suicide, she should've died on her own... why is she giving trauma to so many people that they will have to carry with them for the rest of their lives. Such a nuisance.
9. [+2,263, -68] She didn't die because of any type of accident, why is her family being compensated? ㅡㅡ She's the one who didn't think preciously of her own life.
10. [+2,153, -39] What crime did the person who discovered her body do, what did her ex-boyfriend do, what did the producers do, what did the pension owner, who's now out of millions in his business, do to deserve any of this?
