Verbal Block

I sometimes get requests for indie/underground artists and the only underground artist consistently in the rankings is Verbal Jint.

He has a bit of a negative image with netizens, though, thanks to a few overzealous fans. If you follow him on Twitter, you're probably familiar with the fact that he gets bombarded with "fans" spamming just to get a mention or repeating questions he already answered about his albums/concerts (as with any other celebrity). Verbal Jint deals with them by just blocking them off of his Twitter. Fair enough, right?

Those fans went around message boards and started spreading posts about how Verbal Jint thinks he can do whatever he wants because he's hip hop and how he doesn't care for his fans at all CLEARLY since he's blocking all of them. Of course, they conveniently left out the parts about why they were blocked in the first place...
