4. [+35, -1] I seriously thought Kim Jong Un would be better than his father considering he studied abroad in the Swiss but he's worse... Internal discord is the only solution for North Korea. North Koreans need to stop taking what's thrown at them and stand up for their rights.
5. [+30, -2] North Korea.. please just stay quiet. My father passed away and the only male in my household left is my younger brother, but he's serving in Kangwondo to protect his country. Our family is difficult enough without you acting up like this so please stop breaking other families down and stay quiet..
6. [+25, -1] North Korea is no longer of the same people as us. We are strangers. Just consider them another country. It's better to look at the issue objectively when you no longer consider them our people, our race. Like China or Japan, North Korea is another country different from us.
7. [+23, -1] I'm seriously scared to death of a war happening... Aside from North Korea, our country is at the biggest risk in the event of a war.

Article: South Korea has what it takes to develop nuclear weapons... within a year
Source: Newsis via Nate
1. [+170, -23] We can't make nuclear weapons because America restricts our country from doing so. We have everything that it takes but not only is America blocking us, but religious groups also run protests accusing the country of producing 'murder weapons'. It's just impossible to go through with it. The technology for helicopters to fly in reverse was developed by Korea but we sold it off for the money tsk tsk
2. [+153, -33] Everyone already knows we have what it takes to make them.. It's just that once we equip ourselves with nuclear weapons, people will accuse our country of siding with communism and blame us for influencing other countries to do the same. Equipping our country with nuclear weapons is not what a country that aims to be a world leader should show to the rest of the world. Just because Israel has a powerful army, nobody in the world considers them a leader, more like a problem...
3. [+96, -15] Any country that uses nuclear energy has long had the ability to produce nuclear weapons. The reason they never took that step was because it put the surrounding countries on alert on top of the pressure from countries that already have nuclear weapons. Who wouldn't want to equip their country with it when it gives you so much advantage in the event of a war? The countries most against South Korea creating nuclear weapons are America, Russia, China, and Japan, aka the most powerful nations in the world. If Korea said right now that we are going to possess nuclear weapons, the entire world will pressure us to stop or isolate us completely. We'll be treated no differently from North Korea, and this is what our country is afraid of. We've had the skills to produce nuclear weapons for over 30 years now. A year? It'll take less than a few months to have our country equipped.

[+15, -2] It seems because there are a lot of young Nate users that everyone is quick to declare war on North Korea or demand that we attack them first. A real life war is nothing like what you play in Starcraft. If a war is declared, every one of you will be drafted to the front lines where you'll have to deal with flying bombs and bullets. You'll all piss your pants and squeeze out tears and snot as you squat in your hiding spot. Declaring war means that both North and South Korea are accepting that the countries will disintegrate. If this war was something so easy like you guys claim, the South Korean and American army would've already forced North Korea to surrender and unified the two Koreas by now. It's kids like you that are keyboard warriors."
