1. [+406, -61] Here's the thing... 'Produce 101' only has male viewers right now because men like watching girls.. and girls watch the show because having a 'girl crush' is the trend and everything right now. With the male version of 'Produce 101', girls are going to watch it because they like watching boys, but why would boys watch a bunch of other boys singing and dancing when it's not even hip hop... tsk tsk sigh
- It doesn't matter because it's the female viewers who will actually pay money to vote and get them anywhere
- Women pay more for hobbies than men do
- The show will do fine with a female only audience, if anything, it'll do better than if men watched
- The main viewerbase for the show are women in their teens and twenties anyway
- Women pour their hearts into shows like this while men would rather spend that time doing other things like gaming or eating...
- There's a reason why 'Superstar K' has never had a female winner
- Mnet is going to make more off of the male version than the female version of the show. The viewers who spend the most on shows have always been women.
- You can't ignore the amount of money women spend on their favorite groups.
- Maybe boys will watch if you make 101 of them try to debut as soccer players ㅋㅋ

2. [+367, -26] Boys might listen to boy group songs but they don't go as far as to watch them on TV shows. Boys didn't care at all about Winner's survival show. Girl groups have a portion of fans who are female but it's practically law that boy groups rarely have fans who are male.
- The strongest fanbase for any idol group are the women. SM realized that early on so all of their girl groups are doing well.

3. [+334, -22] One season's enough

4. [+40, -6] They're really making us watch 101 rowdy boys sing and dance at 11 pm at night? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

5. [+25, -3] Bullies from schools across the nation will probably

6. [+21, -8] Great, let's see how the male trainees who suck at singing and dancing get hated on. But in my opinion, they're going to get shielded ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

8. [+15, -2] You line up 101 girls like that and it looks pretty but you line up 101 boys like that and it'll look like they're in some training academy.

9. [+15, -1] I think Mnet purposely started with a female version of the show to get all of the public interested but it's with the male version that they're going to really target the wallets of dumb fangirls.

10. [+8, -1] Some of you are sorely mistaken... Even the female version of this show is only watched by teen girls, there are barely any men who watch this. The majority of celebrity fans are girls, boys don't care for shows like this at all ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ the male version of the show will definitely get more viewer ratings because more girls will watch with much more passion ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
