'Gasengi' is one of those sites that translates international netizen comments into Korean on various issues. This time they chose my follow up post on Psy's performance in Italy and translated your comments. The general consensus seems to be that they think you're all Japanese because HOW DARE YOU CRITICIZE KOREA!!!!!11

"ㅋㅋ Thanks for the translations. I see a few Japs in the comments."

"I notice that a lot of the commenters are Japanese people pretending to be other foreigners. You guys do realize that the Japaneses' goal is to spread hateful things about Korea so that the entire world will hate Korea, right? They'll go around on the internet acting like they're from another country and talk bad things about Korea on purpose."

"These comments are an infestation of the Japanese."

"I smell some Japanese in the comments."

"So many of their discussions have strayed so far off topic from Psy's interview... Anyway, thanks for the translations^^!"

"I visit NetizenBuzz whenever I'm bored so I can assure you that they're not all Japanese or foreigners pretending to be Japanese. Most of the English speaking Hallyu fans are from the China, SEA area."

"There are a lot of Japanese people who leave comments as guests on Netizen Buzz. You can see that some of them have their Facebooks and Twitters linked so it's easy to confirm whether someone's from SEA or Japan. Netizen Buzz itself isn't an anti-Korea site, just a site that translates comments from Korea. The admin herself seems to filter some of the more severe stuff and I don't think she runs the site to create anti-Korea content since she goes by the number of upvotes comments receive. T-ara always gets hated on that site so I'd imagine T-ara fans hate her the most. Aside from this Psy article, I'd say the site is pretty quiet."

"Even if the admin of Netizen Buzz isn't intentionally running the site as anti-Korea, she creates anti-Korean sentiment so that makes it an anti-Korean blog. And you can't just check whether someone's Japanese or not just by checking their Facebook or Twitter profiles."

"Well I was just going off of the followers Netizen Buzz has on Twitter. Most of them seem to be from SEA. A lot of Chinese as well. And considering the nature of the site, you really have to expect there to be a lot of antis ㅋㅋ The culture is entirely different. They're thinking from the perspective of another culture, not that of Korea's. They call Koreans 'Keyboard Warriors' but I don't think they're one to speak either. They should look in the mirrors."

"I think you can consider Netizen Buzz this way: ever since allkpop changed their stance to positive articles only, all of the antis that used to infest that site migrated over to Netizen Buzz. It's a perfect place for hate because look, even Koreans are hating on Korean celebrities! That means we can too! [...] I remember I accused someone of being Chinese or Taiwanese or Japanese and they fired back at me to stop being racist! Well, if I wasn't right, why would they fire back, right? It's obvious that these other countries are trying to brainwash everyone into thinking everyone, even the Koreans, hates Korea."

I have no comments on the matter other than a fucking eyeroll and to say that I have been e-mailed a few times by other k-nets alerting me that the blog was reported to Ilbe a couple weeks ago and they were trying to hack it but it obviously hasn't worked (yet).
