Article: SNSD comeback show 'belly button shirts and retro cat dance opening' cute
Source: Newsen via Nate
1. [+641, -133] Their songs get trashier with each release ;;
2. [+510, -204] ㅋㅋㅋ People kept saying the song sounds similar to Crayon so I went and listened to it for the first time and... are you guys deaf? Just because it's a club tune, you guys are making that comparison?? There's such a huge difference between the two songs
3. [+336, -92] An entire show dedicated to their comeback seems a bit overkill
4. [+150, -56] Daebak... disappointed
5. [+148, -68] Seohyun's face has really swelled up ㅠㅠ she looks like a piggy bank
6. [+142, -209] I thought the song would be an utter failure when I first listened to it but the performance was great and now I like the song ㅎ
7. [+135, -31] If a rookie group came out with this song, would it have caught this much attention? Honestly speaking, the song itself is bad
8. [+118, -23] I served in the army so there's no doubt that I'm a Soshi fan but wow, I'm going crazy ㅋㅋㅋ maybe it's because I'm used to being too impressed by Psy's stages lately and I expected there to be a bit of a let down in SNSD's comeback but this is just so bad ㅋㅋㅋ
9. [+105, -166] Everyone had a great live, it was an amazing stage!! The best
10. [+103, -31] I'm a guy and I'm losing interest in SNSD with each release. I think they're losing their worth as a product... And they're 25 years old now, their name's a bit of a mismatch.

Article: 'SNSD Comeback Show' viewer ratings in the 3%, what explains the low number?
Source: Newsen via Nate
1. [+651, -41] I didn't even know they were having a show..
2. [+645, -37] A common misunderstanding with broadcast officials is that they seem to think they will get high viewer ratings no matter what if there is an idol on the show. Inkigayo's viewer ratings are in the 4% range, and don't they remember that Sunday Night tried to salvage itself by bringing in SNSD and still failed... Idols are only popular with their specific fanbase.. They have nothing to do with viewer ratings.
3. [+613, -93] Isn't this to be expected? Who would start the first day of the New Year watching some idol's comeback show unless they're pathetic with nothing else to do? Only otakus or elementary/junior high school students on winter break would do that. Do you guys have nothing better to do with your time? Teach yourself something new in that time.

Article: A comeback show that lacked nothing, a romantic fantasy made possible by SNSD
Source: TV Daily via Nate
1. [+427, -79] The song is so trashy, why so much media play over it? I'm sick of it already
2. [+354, -40] Looks like SM power is strong. They managed to land an 11oclock spot on a new year day for their main artist and turning it into a comeback show.
3. [+327, -43] Am I the only one that thinks their style overlaps with f(x)
4. [+94, -8] The song is trashier than Super Junior, more convoluted than f(x), and makes about as much sense as Orange Caramel
5. [+91, -21] The song is trash, what do you need to watch the stage for;;
-
Article: SNSD's 'I Got a Boy' comeback, the girls return not as dolls but with a swagger look
Source: Newsen via Nate
1. [+286, -42] Yoona, pease don't rap... I'm seriously so embarrassed for them... Why do they think they can pull hip hop off ㅡㅡ Practice singing in that time instead... I really hate it when idols rap because they can't sing
2. [+248, -23] Please don't rap ㅠㅠ please ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
3. [+232, -20] Mmm... Yes... I felt like I was listening to many songs at once..
4. [+63, -13] Everyone who said the performance would be better than the song lied
5. [+59, -9] Seriously, don't rap. Actually, don't even call the song hip hop. Just stick to your concept like your name, something girlish and sweet. Not only do they not match hip hop but I almost grew 8 legs out of embarrassment for them when they said A YO GG.
-
Article: Yoona-Sunny-Sooyoung's cute wedding dress "Marry you"
Source: TV Daily via Nate
1. [+232, -28] This is the first time I thought I would lose my ears while listening to a song
2. [+205, -22] Sunny's gotten a lot more stable compared to the past. Yoona and Sooyoung just sounded like they were singing a children's song.. Everyone kept saying all of their lives improved so I gave it a view but you really can't call their level of talent that of a singer with 5 years of experience under their belt... They're just pretty, it doesn't seem like they have any intention of improving their vocals. Yuri and Hyoyeon, however, really did improve.
3. [+200, -23] All of the replies calling the performance pretty?? Yeah they're pretty but you seem to forget that their main career is singing ㅋㅋ A singer needs to be able to sing well regardless of how ugly they are. It looks like they're just relying on otakus calling them pretty no matter what. SNSD needs to practice their singing more aside from a few of them. And people keep blaming their composer for the song but that's double standards right there. Did Super Junior ever write their own songs?
-
Article: SNSD's group 'cutie player' "4+4 is twinkle"
Source: TV Daily via Nate
1. [+169, -20] Did Sooyoung get work done on her face? They should try to be discreet with these things. Men usually can't tell but I can tell right away
2. [+158, -27] I like Soshi... but this song is so bad.. Can't they please change to another song ㅠㅠ Is it too late?? Am I the only one that thinks this song is ridiculous...
3. [+147, -21] Exactly what is fresh and amazing about this? SNSD seems to be getting lost in the mountains with each release. They were legendary during Genie, but their quality has been on the downfall since then. I thought at least up to The Boys, it was still worth a listen but I don't even know what to say about I Got a Boy... It must be so difficult for their fans to shield this...
-
Downfall of SNSD? I think so.
ReplyDeleteSj did write their own songs.. Lol ignorant netizen
ReplyDeleteVery harsh.
ReplyDeleteif these netizens who mostly sit on the internet and would be called part of the "otaku" crowd dislike it i wonder what the average citizen thinks...
ReplyDeleteSo many complains but why IGAB MV has the fastest growth in view on all the various website?
ReplyDelete10. [+103, -31] I'm a guy and I'm losing interest in SNSD with each release. I think they're losing their worth as a product... And they're 25 years old now, their name's a bit of a mismatch.
ReplyDeleteDoes this guy even know there's a group with called Super Junior that has 30 year olds? And that poor, other group. Teen Top I think they're called? Ah but I don't know if they have the kind of lifeline SuJu has has.
Beginning of the end for snsd i see
ReplyDeletehas had* Oops.
ReplyDeleteVery mixed responses.
ReplyDeleteso you don't know that a lot of kpop fans (not sure if ifans or kfans here) use programs to make the mv view count go up? i remember a certain group having a comeback and a lot of people pointing it out on social media
ReplyDeletebut people have to view it in order to have an opinion on it
ReplyDeletehow the hell did sm mess this up. all they had to do was bring the usual and it would of been enough. it was just baaaad. lol. sm needs a wake up calll.
ReplyDeleteget the hint, SM? It's about time.
ReplyDeletebut I have to add that the rest of the album was good. the title track though.. too much going on.
I was really disappointed with the song as well. :( perhaps it was due to the fact that I was anticipating a killer song due to the preview snippets.. le sigh..
ReplyDeleteso what if the views are rapidly growing? a lot of mv views =/= good song. either it's people checking it out for the first time, or their fans trying to increase the view count of the mv. i seriously don't know why people use youtube views as a valid argument -__-
ReplyDeleteHoly fuck. K-netizens ragging on The Divine Nine?
ReplyDeleteThe moment I heard the first teaser it was obvious SM took a gamble with this sound and by the looks of it, they gambled wrong. While the song is still doing good on charts simply because it's SNSD, it's not showing signs of being a big hit.
ReplyDeleteThe idea was good, but execution terrible. IGAB sounds like a medley of five songs into one instead of one song trying to display views from different perspective. If the song had a consistent beat while displaying the different perspectives, it would have been much much better.
Not sure if "mixed" is synonymous with "negative".
ReplyDeletethere are some funny comments, ie. seohyun piggy bank, snsd = orange caramel.
ReplyDeleteAre they deaf or what. Music reviewers and professionals alike absolutely love the song, the stage was impressive, and its something different! Honestly, these keyboard warriors are starting to piss me off, they've got nothing but bad things to say about idols, whether it be snsd or hyuna or whoever.
ReplyDeleteI wish i could just shout f*** you to these people, BoA had a comeback show it was fine, BigBAng even had a comeback show too and it was fine, SNSD does a comeback show and you insult?
They think that is rap? Oh please. Knetizens please go listen to real rappers like eminem or KRS One. Compare an apple with an apple guys.
Idols are the one making your country popular internationally. Please have some respect for their hard work. I'm not just talking about SNSD, i'm talking about other idols that knetizens just LOVE to hate and post hurtful remarks.
Exactly which professionals have said that?
Deletejust because they are idols who make their country popular is not a license to release trash songs. sk already popular before idols exist, but in different fields. how their country always fight with japan and nk. you are the only one maybe know korea from idols
DeleteWhat's wrong with Orange Caramel?
ReplyDeleterebecca black had a lot of views.
ReplyDeleteAyo. Friday was the shit yo. Taught me that Thursday comes before Friday.
DeleteI'm not arguing. I also don't like the title song but there are several good songs on the album. I was just asking a question. And NB has answer me.
ReplyDeletebut suju is nobody in Korea xD
ReplyDeleteThe brainwashing is strong in this one.
ReplyDeleteSeriously SM, stop with the clusterfuck songs and start picking better tracks as the lead singles.
ReplyDeleteWhat he says is true.
ReplyDeleteby reading the comments, i become more curious to watch the performance. tho it's hard to like the song, i want to watch the live version. how they can pull off such messed concept is beyond me.
ReplyDeletelol. just beacuse reviewers said the song was good doesnt mean its popular. what professionals are u on about?
ReplyDeleteThe comments were very entertaining.
ReplyDeleterefer to the original comment. nothing wrong with the girls, but their song lyrics are hilariously nonsensical. try reading the lyric translations of IGAB.
ReplyDeleteorange caramels lyrics doesnt make sense or their sickly cute/ stupid lol.
ReplyDeleteThis is for all of the SONEs that bashed other girl groups / artists just to make their girls look better. Your girls are going down and there's nothing you can do. Remain butthurt.
ReplyDeleteyou hope* so
ReplyDeleteTaeyeonFTW is a troll, just so you know. SONEs have stood up for other fandoms because of his/her insults.
ReplyDeletewow one of the worst songs i've heard
ReplyDeleteI honestly think this was just SM's fuck you to YG. He said he was going to do hip-hop gg and then Sm does it, regardless of how good the song is now YG can't come out with this look or anything like this sound or else he'll be a cpy.
ReplyDeleteWell, musically they aren't strong, Gee and Genie being their strongest and that was years ago.
ReplyDeleteThey'll still be around due to movies, cfs, mc jobs and all that other stuff. But as idols/musicians...they've pretty much not done well but this def brings them down even more.
So is 2NE1 next then? By far I've seen more blackjacks slut sham and bash other girl groups than ANY other female kpop group fanbase.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I think if more consideration went into transitions, then I Got A Boy would be so much better.
ReplyDelete...I don't know, half the things in SNSD's video is very Jeremy Scott-ish.
ReplyDeleteAlso no worries because SM failed with this 'HIP HOP' look...
well.. the mv and choreography is amazing , but the song is not , i think the boys is much better
ReplyDeleteALL THE COMMENTS SAYS IT ALL. The fanbase will let them win but the public knows the truth, I think it's time for f(x) to SHINE.
ReplyDeleteMelon gave this album 2.7 / 5. Check it and see for yourselves. The album is flopping hard.
ReplyDeleteI don't think SM will change anything.
ReplyDeleteThey will give crap songs to SJ, DBSK, SNSD, and the other nugu groups like always,
First paragraph:
ReplyDelete"Are they deaf or what. Music reviewers and professionals alike absolutely love the song, the stage was impressive, and its something different! Honestly, these keyboard warriors are starting to piss me off, they've got nothing but bad things to say about idols, whether it be snsd or hyuna or whoever."
Firstly, people pointing out IGAB's shocking messiness and hating it does not mean that they're deaf. Secondly, I've seen no standing ovation for this song by anybody, SONE or "music reviewers and professionals alike". And thirdly, this is probably the first time that I've read that the general consensus of people commenting on SNSD articles in Korea to be negative, so get off your high horse please.
true !
ReplyDeleteEh I don't know though. YG stans could use the argument of "I Got A Boy totally copied 2NE1's fashion" and some are even saying it's similar to GD's Crayon, which for the life of me I don't understand why, lol.
ReplyDeleteMost sones didn't like AGAB...they're very confused and just supporting snsd.
ReplyDeleteI somewhat feel bad because they're being treated like Super Junior with the mediocre songs and the box-MV.. but then again, their fans.
ReplyDeletemy thoughts exactly!!! HAHAHAHA,
ReplyDeletealthough, i think the new YG girl group could do the swag and rap much better because its what they do in yg.
when netizens hate something they really hate it.
ReplyDeletebaby maybe, promise and express 999 are all amazing but i still need some time for i got a boy though, but it does grow on me after watching their live performance
ReplyDeleteSomeone's getting fired this week (cough cough the composer Yoo Young Jin cough)
ReplyDeletelol why would you bring this up knowing how fail the concept is for snsd. the girls couldn't carry this look well. yg surely can come out with this same concept for his new gg and possibly do it better. snsd didnt set the bar high :/
ReplyDeleteIf you're going to tell them to listen to a real rapper at least give them a rapper from their own country.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of if he failed, it has become another snsd concept. Snsd has coined it now every comparison wil be with them.
ReplyDeleteas much as I hate YG, I think he's more creative than SM
ReplyDeletethey're getting more harsh comments with every article.
ReplyDeleteI wonder who will be the next girl group in going down?
2NE1??
KARA ??
F(x) ??
I hear worse kpop songs than this one tbh
ReplyDeletelol
ReplyDeletelol the pressednes i only know their promoted songs and don't care much about them but that performane was great i can't think of any girl group having a performance thi solid in the last 2 years even if the song sucks and i think is great they give their own shows to groups, that way if you are not a fan you don't have to torture yourself watching something you don't care about.
ReplyDeleteAnd those army fans... come on don't even pretend you liked them for their music you know you only used them as fapping material.
Igab is more f(x) style than anything. I didn't see any 2NE1 in there tbh. & idc about the crayon aspect the song as a whole was completely different.
ReplyDeleteso sme would put out all of that effort just to shoot themselves in the foot at the end?
ReplyDeletei hope this is true so i can laugh even harder at this
First T-ara then IU now SNSD, who is the next ?
ReplyDeleteknetizens will hate you like no tomorrow
they did quite well actually, for me they pulled it off. but you were just like me at first, i was like "wtf how will they perform this live?" and they proved me wrong, i was impressed honestly, please have a look
ReplyDeletewatch?v=FAg3swnAHyA
I have to admit, the people openly wishing for SNSD to go down in flames are a lot more organized this comeback period than during the Boys.
ReplyDeleteI mean of course they aren't and they are sitll the most popular idol group in Korea but the effort to take them down is really cute.
Looks like F(x) to me.
ReplyDeleteThat was a horrible way of saying fuck you because now if YG manages to pull of this concept successfully, which he will if he kicks out Jennie Kim, the he would have the upper hand.
ReplyDeleteLOL. I saw the Crayon comparison, I think it's about the whole transition aspect in both songs. Because Crayon could be two songs as well.
ReplyDeleteOuch.
ReplyDeleteYou sound real crazy right now.
ReplyDeleteand a lot of dislikes too, but snsd doesn't :)
ReplyDeleteWe can only hope!
ReplyDeleteLike I said, that's basis for some YG fans or other fans to say so. I personally don't think so because I don't hear Crayon in IGAB but as you can see in one of the top comments in the article, someone also addresse how they don't understand why people comparing Crayon and IGAB. Which means there must be people already comparing the two.
ReplyDeleteOooohhh! Do you think he'd kick out Jennie? I've been wondering about that.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to go any further on this subject with you because you're an asshole. I see the shityou post on here. Feel free to gtfo.
ReplyDeleteTheir comeback had half the viewer audience of last time... Lols
ReplyDeleteyeah, I mean look at the only positive comment there, it got voted down SO BADLY, something tells me somethings up...
ReplyDeleteI used to be a fan of the old GG, but this......this makes me dislike them more.....I hated The Boys....wtf is JYP doing with the WG....this is their chance
ReplyDeleteOr he might just have a second rate version of 2NE1
ReplyDeleteis it relevant ??
ReplyDeleteI think SM relied on the fans too much, knowing that they will support and buy the album no matter what. But if they continue, they're just going to lose relevance in Korea slowly, just like SJ.
ReplyDeleteIdk. Female big bang. Yg snsd. Future 2Ne1. He's more of a coatail rider than original.
ReplyDeleteIf you are talking about the SNSD stan over at the ProphetBlog, you need to sit your ass down.
ReplyDeleteIt is. F(x) on snsd.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad there's backlash for the song. I still can't get over how terrible it is. This is supposed to be the best girlgroup in korea?? lmao
ReplyDeleteThere's been no outside effort to take them down. SM's doing it already without meaning to. Still cute?
ReplyDelete3. [+327, -43] Am I the only one that thinks their style overlaps with f(x)
ReplyDeleteThis. I felt like SM completely gave SNSD f(x)'s concept.
I don't think sm put out effort on this album, do you?
ReplyDeleteIt's been the case in a lot of places. Any remotely positive comments are getting dragged down. It's about as organized as it gets.
ReplyDeleteDepends on how GD produces their music.
ReplyDeleteum psy has done more for kpop in the past year than any idol has ever done. and he's not an idol.
ReplyDelete3.
ReplyDeleteTrue. Check any article on SNSD and you will see praise about their 'beauty' and/or personal life and nothing about their musical efforts. It's really sad to think that they're considered a musical group when everyone including their fans only praise them for their music talent. I'm not trying to troll, it's the truth.
A yo gg. lololololol.
ReplyDeleteOr he could skip the 2NE1 design completely and just revamp SWI.T
ReplyDeleteIt was 2.9 just after release and now it's 2.6. Also, if you check the ratings for their other albums, their newer releases have lower ratings than the old releases.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping he will.
ReplyDeleteAs a relatively new fan of theirs this is a total turnoff. I've never been so disappointed by a comeback. I guess this marks the end of my trip into the SONE fandom. It was great while I was there but the way SM is going is definitely not the direction I want Soshi to take so goodbye. I still wish all the best to SNSD. May they shine brighter than ever in 2013.
ReplyDeletesnsd is doing really well on digital charts with igab , so...
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to point out how SNSD lost their first place spot in 9 hours already.
ReplyDeletehttp://pann.nate.com/talk/317398459. So I'm guessing, everyone was super excited to listen to SNSD's new songs because of their brand name but were thoroughly disappointed
I think KARA will have the chance to take N1 korean girl group spot.
ReplyDeleteNot how the Melon charts work.
ReplyDeleteThat picture is at 5am-6am when streaming is more prevalent than downloading. People hadn't had a chance to put the song on a playlist to stream so of course LSG's song is gonna be slightly higher...of course an hour later, IGAB was #1 and hit the roof twice in the next two hours (and is still #1).
They're still #1 coz obviously there's nothing else out there as of now
DeleteI like SNSD but this is too much. The video had too many colors and their clothes were too much, too crazy, it was blinding my eyes. The girls are pretty but overworking the makeup made them look a lot older. I actually like the chorus of IGAB from the teasers but the entire song doesn't flow together, only the chrous feels like an actual song. I'm sure they put in a lot of efforts in the choreography but they're releasing a CD, so music should be their man priority. Without a decent song, choreography and visuals cannot save this concept. I have to say, this was really disappointing and SM needs to stop relying on concepts and the visual aspects. Yes, they're pretty but that should not be the only focus of their comeback.
ReplyDeleteI don't hate snsd, but I find sones very annoying. Aside from the fashion 2ne1 used 3 years ago, there's nothing 2ne1 about this. It's more f(x) to me by all means. And they should just accept that the song is bad and not try to sugar-coat everything and make up bUllshit explanations to make themselves sleep better at night.
ReplyDeleteSo, does this mean that they're losing popularity in both Korea and Japan? Sucks to be a group of women growing older and trying to act cool, hip and teenager.
ReplyDeleteI think f(x) pulled it off better cuz there are less members so it wasn't too much and it wasn't messy
ReplyDeleteI feel like SM also knows that their groups tend to have solid fan bases which is why they can afford to release tracks like these as the singles; which is just lazy handling to me.
ReplyDelete3. [+327, -43] Am I the only one that thinks their style overlaps with f(x)
ReplyDelete^THIS. If only SM could spend something like this for f(x). Sighh
K-Pop acts as a whole seem to be losing their initial popularity in Japan.
ReplyDeletedelusional
ReplyDeleteyey f(x) <3
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, because the reaction to "Dancing Queen" seemed pretty positive, but this is all negative.
ReplyDeleteI think if SM gave them a ballad song with little choreography, it would receive better reviews because the girls can sing pretty well, as shown from their Japanese single "All My Love For You." It would have been different for a change and they could prove people wrong of idols only relying on their visual images by providing they have good voices too
ReplyDeleteYeah and each member in F(x) had a distinct look while SNSD, well they're all dressed the same.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how SONEs are downvoting all of the truthful comments right now on this article. Pathetic.
ReplyDeleteI think they can pull it off. its like boa only one, the choreography mach the lyrics. like a storytelling lol but still feels weird to me
ReplyDeletewe'll see.
ReplyDelete3.
ReplyDeletethen what r u doing in the NET stating negativity to the so called idol u dont like. i really want to know what is a netizen. r they trolls. not the ones stating their opinion on the song cause i dont like it too but the ones always keep talking bad things about idol fans. who r they?
Er, except they weren't hating on GG? They are negative mostly about the song and the fans.
ReplyDeletehopefully this means fx will get a more mature concept next time. I was getting tired of their hipster mess
ReplyDeleteI actually like this song. Or like 2 out of the 5 songs that it's trying to be. I also like the fashion and the choreography but yeah, they were trying to be something they're not.
ReplyDeleteI almost pre ordered the CD until the full IGAB song came out then I changed my mind.
ReplyDeleteI rather have them do a genetic hook song with catchy lyrics even though it would be similar to their other songs. This concept doesn't even fit them.
I can't agree more..
ReplyDelete"the people openly wishing for SNSD to go down in flames"
ReplyDeletedo you mean sm? because they're the ones giving snsd awful songs and half-assed MVs which lead to this backlash.
Melon ratings have never ever ever been an accurate indication of how good or bad a song is.
ReplyDeletethere's a lot of anti-korea sentiments in japan right now due to the dokdo situation which is why all the kpop acts have been selling lower. It also doesn't help that korean companies are flooding their market with idol groups.
ReplyDeleteif they do it I doubt people will not criticize them
ReplyDelete"ugh why snsd always come out with a song that sounds alike, can SM give them something new"
lol
"I almost grew 8 legs out of embarrassment for them when they said A YO GG."
ReplyDeleteTHIS
Kara didnt do anything revolutionary either with Pandora
ReplyDeleteIt's sort of hard to say anything about Dancing Queen when it's a remake of an already popular song.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, the individual parts of the songs are really goooood. Like each one of those 5 songs if expanded can be all title track worthy. But together they sound like a convoluted mess.
ReplyDeletethank you for the link! yes i agree with you, they did well. but i still find the song...weird. it's like watching a dance performance, you know, where dance team mixed some songs and perform it.
ReplyDeleteit's funny because iSones are going around saying "oh ifans just can't experience the music the same as Koreans who understand the lyrics, it makes sense that it sounds like different songs because each part are from different perspectives" and yet clearly Koreans aren't eating this song up
ReplyDeleteo_o all the most voted comments here say shit about snsd and their song and don't have too many (-)
ReplyDeleteKARA would have to pass SISTAR, 2ne1, and WG just to get to the bottom of SNSD's heels atm.
ReplyDeletePeople would still listen to a hook song and stores will still play it because they're popular, but this is just too different and people are against this concept/song.
ReplyDeleteIt's sad, but yes, you can never win, but it wouldn't be as bad if they did a similar concept than the past. I mean, they got popular because of Gee, and then they did Oh, which was really similar to Gee, and then they did so many other hook songs that received mainly positive reactions. I don't see why that wouldn't be the case this time around if they did that.
pretty sure 'the boys' held its spot at number 1 throughout its 1st day. certain that 'hoot' did too.
ReplyDeleteIt's charting #1 on every single chart and has been since the song came out. Yes. Yes Korea is eating it up. Netizens are the majority of Koreans.
ReplyDeleteYeah I agree. I know Krystal always wear those skinny jeans and Amber always had a different style.
ReplyDeletelol the lyrics are even worse. if only these ifans could understand the dumb message their sending out.
ReplyDelete"She became so pretty and sexy, it’s because of him, right?"
"Ah, my prince! When are you gonna come save me?
Will you lift me in your arms and fly, like a white dream?"
"I’m like, surprised, mental collapse! He wants to see my face without makeup. I really like him, would it be okay to show it to him?
Oh! Never! Right? Right?"
girl power y'all.
how can you call yourself zaz..please.
ReplyDeletethis concept is too much of a mess. doesnt fit them as a whole snsd, rather more fitting only for hyoyeon and yuri. taeyeon, sooyoung, tiffany is ok, but the rest really looks like they were trying too hard to be 'hipster'.
ReplyDeleteif only sm saved the concept for snsd hip hop unit
u right... really like SNSD, but DAMN IT! this song is just BLOWS.. it was bad, for real. i mean the first time i heard it, i was like: WTF is this?! apparently they mix up 5 or 6 or 17 songs together and compress it to one noisy song. it was uniquely bad. i tried to listen for multiple times, try to find its charm, but i just cant. that mofo Yoo Young Jin better get the f*ck out, before SONEs track him done and kick his ass. Thanks for ruining it for everyone, u piece of sh#t. Still love SNSD though~
ReplyDeleteThe point is, at that time of the morning, it's not relevant to lose a spot. Honestly, it's more of an indication how incredibly well LSG's streaming rate is moreso than IGAB flopping.
ReplyDeleteFLOP
ReplyDeleteI think the Crayon part is like the dubstep part. I don't know.
ReplyDeleteyeah with them now it's official.
ReplyDeleteDBSK, Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, F(x) and EXO are FLOPs
its interesting how these people seem to hate snsd but they are seeking out articles to leave comments in. haters are the biggest fans
ReplyDeletei thought that for a "dancing concept," they didn't show enough hyoyeon, the main dancer of the group. AND YES I AGREE.. SM should've saved this for a snsd hip hop subunit. maybe hyoyeon, yuri, and sooyoung. Like GG-Taetiseo, it would be GG-Hyoyusoo?
ReplyDeleteif it's on the first page of nate due to their fans/sme haters probably don't even need to seek it out
ReplyDeleteyea pretty much gotta agree with everything they said. "Seohyun's face has really swelled up ㅠㅠ she looks like a piggy bank" omg i feel bad for laughing but this is so true.
ReplyDeleteThey didn't release a single song last year and were still the #1 idol group on Gallup. They had the Boys, that was just as panned by people, and they...were the #1 idol group on Gallup.
ReplyDeleteSNSD is more than just their music at this point, honestly. They could release Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and still be incredibly popular.
all these articles in the first page? sorry but no.
ReplyDeleteAll the people who allowed this to become the title track should get fired.
ReplyDeletebut funny how this one song sucked and came from the number one girlgroup in korea
ReplyDeletethe Knetizen are really harsh, i suppose this is why SNSD (and some other groups) like it better in Japan than in Korea..
ReplyDeleteThis! Like, each part of the song has so much potential but then they mashed it up to the chaos that is I Got a Boy. I don't understand why they can't stick to Shoujo Jidai's solid electro pop sounds. and A YO GG just gave me so much second-hand embarrassment. SM is obviously screwed up in this one.
ReplyDeleteYou sound like you're just proving hi's point.
ReplyDelete"They didn't release a single song last year and were still the #1 idol group on Gallup." - Wouldn't that be due to their fans then?
"They could release Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and still be incredibly popular." - That means people don't take them as idols seriously then.
Funny, I moved away fom jpop because just about everything sucked and maybe only 5% could sing. But that was like... 6+ years ago.
ReplyDeleteHopefully this could be a lesson for SME, they need to try more, their groups are talented and/or hardworking, they and their fans deserve a better production, better songs, better MV's, better stages.
ReplyDeleteI don't think we are asking too much, just one comeback but a good one.
And this a lesson for SNSD fans too, a lesson in humility, they have been insufferable lately thinking that SNSD can do no wrong and are universally loved.
Well, It doesn't seem so..
LOOOOOOL then just wait for YG to answer it with fuck-you-too-i-can-do-this-better to SM then?
ReplyDeleteThe thing that bothers me most is that a no. 1 girl group in the country, a group that should set an example and show the absolute best doesn't even TRY. This song is really bad, the styling is worse, the MV is shit. Should I only blame the company, producers and the stylists? I'm also gonna blame the fans for blindly eating up their mediocre releases until now. I hope the response they receive from IGAB teaches them something.
ReplyDeletenah, Gallup poll is the best way to measure general public's relevance, so even without the fans and witthey're still relevant and well-liked by general public but when it comes to SNSD it's never really about the song/talent -- even .
ReplyDeletelol the fans are eatingit up simply because its from snsd. im pretty sure they dont appreciate the song as much as they did the older releases.
ReplyDeletewere you listening to jpop or stuff like akb48 and johnnys groups?
ReplyDelete"orcs" , "Ilbe"and bored people.
ReplyDeleteomg these are the lyrics ... LOL
ReplyDeletewere you only listening to JE groups or something.. because the talent/variety in jpop >>>>>> kpop.
ReplyDeleteNot akb48. Among girls, just solo singers. Johnnys and a bunch of other groups/solo-artists that I can't even emember the names of anymore
ReplyDelete...what?
ReplyDelete2009 two top 5 songs on Melon, #1 and #2 song on Gallup public opinion poll
2010 two top 5 songs on Gaon, #1 and #2 song on Gallup public opinion, highest physical sales.of the year
2011 #3 song on Gallup public opinion poll, highest physical sales of the year
In what word do they not do well with music?
Now that you mention it, I can kind of see it now. Kind of lol.
ReplyDeleteThose charts are run by the general public though, not fans.
ReplyDeletewell now we know why SNSD girls kept on emphasizing on how they're worried with this comeback on almost every interviews the did before this, and some even stated things like "you might not like this, but please keep supporting us!" etc lol. I still can comprehend why they decided to take a risk with IGAB when there are better songs in the album.
ReplyDeletethat Marry You cover was so bad! But I actually love all the other covers, especially Hyoyoen and Yuri's one. I had no idea they can sing like that! Netizenbuzz, are there any articles about Hyoyeon-Yuri stage?
No, but JE among others. If you have any jgroups that you think is superior, please do tell. But yes, kpop have stepped in a lot of crap since 2010 when they stated debuting whatever half-assed kids they could scrape up from the streets of korea. Sometimes, I really believe that the only requirement is: as long as you look ok after ps, you're good enough fo a trainee
ReplyDeleteYeah they gambled wrong in this one. Sigh. Each parts of the song has so much potential, imo. But then again, I guess if SME wants to gamble, SNSD is might be their safest option to gamble with. Knowing SM, there might be repackage coming soon too so yeah...
ReplyDelete"that means people don't take them as idols seriously then" idols are never takn srsly though
ReplyDeleteI watch the Romantic St. performance but it was not as good as AMLIFY :( Idk but I dont feel they connected with each other, the lyric, the melody.. while AMLIFY live performance is really good always making me smile because its sweetness
ReplyDeleteexile, mr children, miura dachi, ayaka, the divas (namie, ayu, etc), one ok rock, etc
ReplyDeletethat's the thing with jpop. It's not only idol groups that do well. heck even cpop has more variety than kpop.
I think I should add that I love IGAB choreo. SNSD's choreo is the one thing I love the most from them as a girl group -- and this choreo absolutely delivers. But IGAB also took away another things that I like from SNSD: uniformity/color-coordinated uncrazy outfits, they had no raps on their songs and no "rappers" unlike most idol groups. SM, please don't make SNSD rap. They did fine without all the rap before :/
ReplyDeleteAh, exile. The only jpop group I ever dared refer to when I said I listened to jpop...
ReplyDeleteThey are trying to get out of the mold they have been placed and take chances before they expand into the global market. Simple as that. This is basically what Girls Aloud did.
ReplyDeleteThe other songs on the album just don't have the punch IGAB and wouldn't make EVERYONE talk about it, regardless of if you like it or hate it.
Knetizens hate it but youtube fucking loves it.
ReplyDeletebeing popular is different than producing good music
ReplyDeleteI see. As much as I don't like IGAB except for the routine, I like that they're trying something different and out of the comfort zone -- but I feel this could be a waaaay better. The song and everything else has a lot of potential but it did not quite live it to my personal expectation.
ReplyDeleteI still like IGAB and the rest of the songs... not disappointed that i bought their album... SNSD HwaiTAENG!
ReplyDeleteuhhh SJ was never relevant in S. Korea.
ReplyDeletelol I love proph but this comment is the truth!
ReplyDeleteYou can chart #1 just from streaming though...
ReplyDeletethe song takes some getting use to but the choreography is great! SM feels like they can experiment because SNSD has such a huge fan base. Even if they stick to the usual SNSD concepts people will complain and say their songs sound the same. So hard to please...
ReplyDelete[+641, -133] Their songs get trashier with each release ;;
ReplyDelete[+150, -56] Daebak... disappointed
[+94, -8] The song is trashier than Super Junior, more convoluted than f(x), and makes about as much sense as Orange Caramel
[+248, -23] Please don't rap ㅠㅠ please ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
[+200, -23] ...A singer needs to be able to sing well....And people keep blaming their composer for the song but that's double standards right there. Did Super Junior ever write their own songs?
^
Word. This is the crappiest song SM has ever come up with. I'm surprised they gave SNSD such a crap song. Still So Nyeo Shi Dae? At this rate, their shi dae will be over before 2014 comes around.
Rebecca Black.
ReplyDeleteyeah the song is fail and many people don't like it. A funny thing it's many of my korean friends that are Rain or Kim Taehee fans started to anti SNSD since yesterday LOL (usually they dgaf)
ReplyDeletemy tl was about them and nothing about the Rain/KTH scandal XD
I guess they are trying to give all the attention to SNSD articles and not to the dating scandal articles.. haha it's working.
"Music reviewers and professionals alike absolutely love the song"
ReplyDeleteThey don't love the song. They're only giving positive remarks because SM paid them to do media play.
YYJ is a Director at SM. (Sadly,) LSM's not going to kick him out.
ReplyDeleteeveryone hated Rebecca black
ReplyDelete
