1. Actor B, who is at the height of his career right now, has reportedly caught the celebrity disease. B was a star in a very popular drama recently and has been rising as a bluechip in the CF world thanks to the love of his fans. The problem lies in his difference in attitude. Usually known for his refreshing personality, he's maintained a positive relationship with broadcasting officials until he recently threw a fit in while at a private recording for a music program. He had asked if the show could go out of their way to make it public specifically for him, which producers could not comply with. In the end, he threw a fit with them.
2. Hallyu star C is currently starring in a popular drama and is regarded as the figure responsible for the high viewer ratings. Unfortunately, despite his lead role status and importance to the drama, he's said to be receiving subpar treatment from those around him. Despite it all, he remained nice towards them until it finally became too much for him when he wasn't invited to any year-end event, causing him to break out in tears. His company had to step in for him to get him a few invites and onto nomination lists as a supporting actor. His pride had already been too hurt at this point so he asked to be removed. C had actually received invites from 20 other Chinese award ceremonies but had declined them all for his domestic schedules and to keep his loyalty to the broadcast officials he thought he could trust. Unfortunately, the year-end did not turn out how he expected.
3. Former child actress E is making a round on the gossip table among insiders due to her personality. She makes too many requests for events to comply with. While at the music video film set for another singer in Thailand, she requested a specific brand of water that had staff running around in search for. Even veteran actors that she recently starred in said nothing when producers begrudgingly complied with all of her requests because they didn't want to deal with the drama that would ensue if they didn't. Although E has made a successful transformation from a child to an adult actress, she might need more than just her skills to continue her success.

If you read korean articles about Yoo Seung Ho, most of them call him hallyu star

ReplyDeleteNo, SJK only really started to be acknowledged as a top popular actor after Nice Guy and Wolf Boy. Sungkyunkwan definitely made him more popular but not popular enough to be a 'top' actor. Sungkyunkwan was a mania drama so despite making the public take more notice of him, it had low ratings. To have the popularity of a top actor, you need to have had at least one big ratings hit and Sungkyunkwan was definitely not a big ratings hit.

Tree of Heaven showcased her melo acting, especially she was so young back then and I love how she shines in DWIAG too...I like that she can work in both Melo and Romcom. I think she has a lot of potential... it's just she doesn't challege herself and pushing her limit as other actresses. And yeah I can't wait for FBND either

I thought Kim Soo Hyun as #1 at first but he wasn't invited to any music programs. SJK almost went on Sketchbook and he has a lot of CFs. But I think the statement made it sound like he had a big disagreement on the music show instead of having a bad personality all the time since they mentioned he's on good terms with broadcasting officials.
And for #2, it sounds pretty sad but I Miss You do have good overall ratings. I think it's around 13%, not too bad. I almost thought it was Jang Geun Suk but he was a lead, not supporting role in Love Rain. Siwon could also be a possibly but his drama wasn't even high in ratings.. about 6-7%.

ReplyDelete#2 is Park Haejin. Most definitely Park Haejin. There is a reason why he was shunned by the broadcast officials. And that is because of the previous scandal about him dodging his military service due to mental illness (apparently long history of depression). Because of that military service scandal, Park Haejin had been focusing on work in China and Japan, and he was actually very popular in China. Which would explain why he was invited to 20 awards ceremonies in China. Anyway, its a really sad story for Park Haejin...
