1. [+1,418, -100] What soldier ISN'T sick? Being a soldier means you endure it and truck through your work. Just because he's feeling a little sick, he gets 4 days of leave.. Make it fair and give every other soldier the same perk then.
2. [+1,228, -70] It's been a while since I was discharged so I don't know the current workings of the army but this is my first time finding out that you can ask for a leave if you're sick... During my service, you could only ask to leave if someone in your immediate family passed away. What I don't think is fair is that Rain's being put through the disciplinary committee when if it was any other regular soldier, they'd be thrown in the guardhouse without a chance. He spent 100 days out of a year on vacation - does he even know how to shoot a gun?

I actually believe that rain deserves the criticism but the whole thing is overblown now. The anger needs to be targeted at the military for allowing special treatment for the celebs.

ReplyDeleteI don't really get why celebrities get to have leave when they feel sick. How sick is he? Is it the flu? Is it just a cold? And why 4 days?
If they're not going to revoke the special rights of the celebrity soldiers, they should offer the same perks to everyone else. Showing favoritism is bad for morale, they should realize that.
Do you know how cold it is in Korea right now? It's literally 3°F (or -16°C). And this is without taking into account any windchill factor. I'm pretty sure there are other active duty soldiers who feel like shit right now but they're forced to stand guard anyway.
SMH.
As angry as those some of us and those Netizens are... I can only imagine that the soldiers who have served their military duty and are currently enlisted must be even more pissed off.

From a cultural viewpoint, it's understandable that it's the "rules" and expectations but really, but's extra hair going to do? Make him more attractive to the other soldiers?
