So why all the hate on Yang Hyun Suk?

It's always a surprise for me when I see translated interviews of Yang Hyun Suk and all of the YG stans praising him to be their troll daddy or whatever, because the situation couldn't be more different with their Korean counterparts. I've never really seen any k-fans happy with anything Yang Hyun Suk does or says, and this post is an example of such sentiment:

A longtime fan of Seo Taiji and Boys, Yang Hyun Suk in particular, wrote up a long post on Nate Pann recently begging YG Entertainment fans to refrain from hating on the CEO.

I'm not going to translate the entire post, but she basically talks about how heart breaking it is for her to see VIPs especially talk hateful things about him for the way he runs his business, pointing out that the decisions of the company aren't solely made by him. She emphasizes that the company is made up of a myriad of staff, and that Yang Hyun Suk shouldn't take the sole responsibility for everything that goes wrong with the artists under it.

She includes a photo of Yang Hyun Suk where an anti dug out his eyes as an example of behavior she hopes fans will refrain from.

VIPs retorted to the post.

1. [+182, -38] Big Bang and 2NE1 sang "Lollipop" together but only 2NE1's name was listed in the artist section. G-Dragon was the one that won an award at a Japanese awards ceremony, but 2NE1 took nearly all of the stage performance time. Big Bang was practically a guest at YG Family concerts. VIPs came up with the idea for crown headbands, and YG stole the idea for 2NE1's fan merchandise. When fans asked to have merchandise made for VIPs, they were ignored. The special edition MV for "Don't Go Home" has still not been released. Big Bang was originally supposed to have Big Bang TV but they switched it to 2NE1 TV. YG did not promote "Heartbreaker"; restricted GD's performances on TV stages and made him do off side events. Fans were the one that reported albums that did not state Big Bang to be the correct artists for YG to fix, and yet there are still albums that have mistakes because YG failed to answer. VIPs were the ones that told YG about "Haru Haru" being plagiarized. YG doesn't let Big Bang go on variety shows in Korea, but they're all over Japanese TV. YG also said Big Bang would not be performing "Monster" in Korea, and yet they performed it live in Japan. Fans wouldn't have even been pissed if they just released it as a Japanese song instead. They still haven't changed the label for "This Love". They changed the official lightstick for Big Bang without consent or informing the fans. Big Bang's merchandise are unnecessarily expensive. Big Bang performed "Alive" in Korea three times, while they performed it in five cities in Japan and three in China. The only promotion GD got for his latest solo album was a countdown timer. All of the bus and subway advertisements are being run by his fans. GD had to promote everything himself through his own Twitter. There's more that I'm not writing because I can't think of it off the top of my head, but you have to admit that Yang Hyun Suk is lacking in his management with the boys even if he has other staff to do his work for him... Yes, I do admit the picture with his eyes cut out was going too far.

2. [+140, -21] I'm speaking as a full time VIP. There isn't a CEO in the world that doesn't get criticized for his decisions. Not only Yang Hyun Suk, but every CEO receives hate at some point or another. I'm grateful for Yang Hyun Suk because he's the one that raised Big Bang and he's the one that they respect. I admit that I'm thankful for him. HOWEVER, Yang Hyun Suk has not only done right. As much as his fans are upset with us, we've been upset with him too many times to count. It's just that our way of expressing it could be deemed as a bit severe. Yes, I admit this is our fault. His decisions might be born out of his desire for profit, but Big Bang is precious to us, just like Yang Hyun Suk is precious to you. I think Yang Hyun Suk needs to heed our advice and make some changes while we work to restrict our level of hate for him. I would also like to apologize for the disrespectful actions of other VIPs. I'm sorry.

3. [+115, -18] To all of the people hating on the CEO, put yourself in the OP's shoes. Let's say Big Bang sets up their own company, but the company's a bit slow in processing work. The fans of the company's artists then start hating on Big Bang... Don't you think that would piss you off as their fan? It's the same concept... Big Bang fans would then reason that it's not Big Bang making all of the company's decisions. This is exactly what's going on with the OP, so please put yourself in her shoes before just blindly hating on the CEO.
